Modern Feminism - Yay or Nay

I'm just curious as to what the general male opinion is of modern feminism. I myself don't care for it either way, never really thought about it until I was linked to some blog post.

Do you consider feminism as a whole insignificant and pointless or do you support the views and ideas put forward by the movement?

I personally identify as a feminist sympathizer if that makes sense lol.

They're a little annoying but that's about it.

I saw a video of a woman complaining about air conditioners being sexist because women get colder and warmer faster... Those cases are what I call annoying.

There's no need for feminism in western societies seeing as how Females (particularly white females) are the most privileged people on the planet.

Feminism is only needed for Women in struggle such as; muslim women within middle eastern Islamic nations and African women subjected to female Genital mutilation.

There's no need for feminism in western societies seeing as how Females (particularly white females) are the most privileged people on the planet.

It's a complicated answer.

Feminism is supposed to represent gender equality, not simply female advantages.

When feminism was first established it was for a good and noble cause.

Right now women have equal rights as men and even more so in benefits both legal and unspoken.

The current wave of feminists only focus on the female privileges rather than rights. They don't even even fight on the behalf the women without rights in other countries, but only for what they want in their own lives.

If feminism represents equality, then they should by definition fight for the equality of the rights of men as well.

Not saying that those feminists don't exist, but they are a very small minority. What people refer to as the current wave of feminism is not real feminism. There have been countless women who left such groups and commented on how it is fueled by bigotry and loathing towards men.

You said UAE. Yep, that's one of the very few (or the only one) Nations in the middle east that tries to enforce gender equality.

not really, saudi is the only bad one im saying... other parts are better kuwait those people are the same as uae etc plus their women are mostly rich so yeah.. i can name many but some middle east countries are at war so yeahhh

You're just picking out the minority countries in the middle East while I'm generalizing that (overall) Women in the middle east need better Treatment and respect.

Well duh, That's why they're in more struggle than women in the west.....and thus need feminism more than westerners do.

Plus, I'm pretty sure, that there are other parts of Asia where women inequality happens as well.

Most of it is annoying, especially these sad cases like the one that Pumpkin Ninja shared in his first post. I've seen a lot feminists that want to make women superior to men, which is completely wrong. Equal, yes.. Superior, no.

And of course, eastern countries need feminism to some degree, but not such dumb things like complaining about air conditioners.
