The future is probably the most interesting thing about humanity because it is so unpredictable.
In any case, it would though, predication are fun and it would be interesting to look back on this.
So for this I'll be looking from the time frame of 2016 - 2100.
What are your thoughts? Reactions?

Religion:
This is not going away soon just yet but it'll be interesting to see how this develops. No doubt that it will remain an area of conflict but nowhere near the level of today. Atheism is on the rise and this is a huge change from humanity's orthodox history. Islam is the fasting growing religion along with the growth of smaller religions but Christianity will remain the largest religion until ~2070 so the world will still be divided evermore. Yet, I could see people growing more tolerant as developing countries build more schools and introduce diverse education into even the most remote villages of the world
Technology:
I'm still waiting for my flying car.
Society:
Lol. More slang, curses and trashiness. With the way that pop culture in most countries is, there is no doubt that without a social revolution, people are leading into a more dull and numb mainstream. But on the other hand, at least we have more culture acceptance now than a century ago. People are also less afraid of social norms so I suppose we have hope.
War:
New year, same war. Wars will hopefully become outdated. Invading countries, starting proxy wars, provoking other nations have repeatedly shown that it is like moving 1 step forward only to move 2 steps back. Hopefully instead of wars, future generations will use embargo's, political pressure and (shockingly) the UN to finally solve conflicts like it was meant to be.
Politics:
Yeah, no hope here. The US election this year is evidence. I'll be waiting for the day China emerges as a superpower and wrecks Russia and the US. It would be nice if our political leaders used less propaganda and less fear mongering in the future. I'm looking at you Trump.
