So apparently tanks exist in the OP verse, my question is, why is this the first time we've seen one (kinda)? Wouldn't that be something more commonly seen? Why none at marineford? They seem like they'd be pretty weak in OP verse, should have been used pre G2 to have any impact, now its just like, wtf those exist?

I feel tanks are way less practical. I mean its a pirate anime (Boats) with also foreign lands out of this world so there is no reason for tanks IMO

I feel tanks are way less practical. I mean its a pirate anime (Boats) with also foreign lands out of this world so there is no reason for tanks IMO

What is so special in this, Franky had been already transformed into tanks many times plus his other gadgets and stuffs already proves that there is no need to think that one piece is set in historic period of time.

The OP world is a series of islands for the most part, how effective would tanks be if they have to be transported to every incident site all the time?

IF they had tanks it would be a mobile canon, but they don't need that since they have enough defence canons and manpower.

Really? I'd take 1 tank over 100 fodder marines which probably weigh the same since everything is transported by sea

No it doesn't, then again I never said it did. I was explaining why we don't see them much, idk why there were none at MF? Maybe because MF is primarily a headquarters and execution area they felt tanks weren't needed, idk.

Yeah 100 marines doesn't equal a tank, tanks weigh 60-ish tons humans weigh around 150-220 that's 22,000 lbs compared to 120,000 lbs.

What is that crap about no tanks in marineford ?

They had an entire wall covered in canons (Most dangerous part of a tank)

And a small army of pacifista's which are basically a big upgrade from a tank.

Also One Piece is set in a world where people slash canonballs in half and fight with meteors. I don't think a traditional tank will be very effective.

Also Franky made a lot of battle franky models which were basically sea tanks and he changed into a tank on Punk Hazard to transport kids.

at the battle of Marineford.. there really wasn't a place for them to use Tanks..

The open landmass of Marineford isn't that big. And on top of that you'd have the pirates in there as well, and people like the Admirals/Mihawk who have OP attacks all within that area. It would've been hard to fight, and it would've been a cluster**** there.

But I do hope there is a big war at the end, with a much much bigger battlefield for us to see all the advance weaponry of the WG.
