I was going to correct myself by saying this.

While in his 8th gate state, Gai is at a speed so great that it warps the very fabric of space. So therefore if his body is strong enough to deliver a hard physical hit while going at such a velocity times the weigh of his mass, i'd say his body is pretty damn durable.

We know that increasing one's chakra can also increase durability. Look at Bijuu Mode, or Sage Mode. It stands to reason that removing one's physical limits could have an effect similar to adding chakra. I'd say that Guy is probably more durable when using the Eight Gates.

What happened in that scan is do to the velocity Gai was travelling at multiplied by the his overall mass. If a giant truck is speeding down a hill a 100 miles per hour, whether it has control or not it's going to be destroyed because of it's speed and weight. (and kinetic energy, but lets not get into that.)

They're totally different. Sakura doesn't gain power from increasing her chakra or removing physical limitations; her punch's power doesn't have anything to do with the amount of force behind the punch. She uses precise chakra manipulation to release chakra as her punch makes its impact, and that chakra causes the damage. It's somewhat like the Gentle Fist in that respect, although the damage it inflicts is more like standard taijutsu.

The upshot is that there's no reason why Sakura would *need* to be durable to handle her own punches, and there's no reason why her use of chakra would increase her own durability, either. And, of course, Eight Gates Guy's kick (Night Moth) was on an entirely different level from Sakura's punch.
