I think it's because he actually has control over his power now. The roar and the shock waves were more like uncontrollable bursts of power. He probably couldn't direct the power or magnitude of it in his earlier forms. He would just get angry and swing his arm or scream at the top of his lungs and his power just shot out.

His energy is probably just more focused into his attacks.

KCM, BM, BSM, and RSM are the results of Naruto being in control of the power he took from Kurama/Hagoromo and making it his own. And since he's a guy who has grips over his emotional feelings for the most part, he's not going to go around and go beserk like that again. But I'm sure if he actively tried, he could easily do those things again.

God knows he would dominate in CQC against anyone. He basically could attack people with the Senjutsu around him, no wonder he was nerfed. Especially with his RSM which grants him a higher level of Sage Mode than his regular SM.

His RSM durability was nerfed, to where we see him tanking other attacks in lower forms but he failed to tank a simple sword during the Gaiden?
