I did read somewhere on a translation of swirl zetsu's profile that he can't survive without harboring somebodies body or something about "Gedo mazou's light."
So he didn't have the liberty of going wherever he wanted like White Zetsu and Black Zetsu did.

Yo I really want to know where Spiral Zetsu was after he was fused with Obito as he proceeded to decimate the Mist Ninja through wood release. Did he fuse with him or was he just attached to the Gedo Statue as per Obito's orders.

Kushi got real lazy with this matter and I hope he at least puts a filler over this mess covering it as the anime is notorious for its fillers.

I guess he detached from Obito because his arms were finally healed. But I also wanted to know what happened inbetween those two events. He really didn't personally needed him as much as his body finally adjusted but being lazy to fill the viewers in is just lazy on kishi's part. Maybe he will be in the fillers, an Itachi shippuden is coming soon and Tobi is definite going to make a cameo so it's a possibility.

Kishi could have honestly done it himself. After Obito got hit with the boulder Kishi could have followed his path to extend Kakashi Gaiden, this might have reduced the redundant flashbacks that Obito had in the War Arc. I know he was the progneitor of all of Naruto's problems but this guy could have been used for more fighting rather than talking. I thought he lost his will pretty early in the fight.

he didnt lose his will, naruto brought his feelings to the surface and he was trying to crush narutos willand lost to freindship power words can be powerful just look at how madara made obito hate himself lol
