Even the young "Shin Uchiha" are a better character than Obito and he they are not even real Uchiha. Tobi was great, Obito was awful. Isn't it sad that someone like him became Juubis Jinchuuriki?

Right? Obito had a chance at becoming one of the best Uchiha characters near Itachi level in characterization, but failed ultimately when Kishimoto literally had his internal struggle be in conflict with his love for 12 year old Rin. Disgusting.

He was an Uchiha, but he wasn't talented, so in that sense, he was an already unique character.
He dreamed of becoming Hokage, something that is also shared with Sarada.
He like most males, was in love with a pretty girl (I don't find her attractive at all, but I'm just adding this point).

So thus far he wasn't the cool, calm, collected gay kid who acts like nothing bothers him, even when he is surrounded by females.

Then combine with his selfless act of saving Kakashi, giving his eye away, and then later finding Madara before he 'died', all led to him becoming a serious character in the franchise. What Kishimoto should have done was written an Obito who detested the Uchiha Clan for outcasting him as a failure

Nice thread, so also for Itachi, his sharingan was always active ever since he joined the atatuski and was always bold to go around with it anywhere knowing every nation knows him to be rougue

I agree.
Kishi destroyed Tobi's character with stupid Rin flashbacks.
Obito should have said something like he had seen Enough bad things in various villages he had travelled when he was Tobi.
He saw how bad shinobi system was & kages did nothing about it( with uchiha massacre flashbacks & Hiruzen did nothing).
So many Shinobis have died because of personal grudges villages have against each other(could have shown any war flashback)
Villages were destroyed & innocents were killed because of kkg(with kiri flashback)
This things should have added rather then stupid Rin flashbacks.

The main problem is, that Tobi and unmasked Obito act totally different.
Tobi was calm, calculating, cold. Look at the battle when he killed Konan, there was no humanity left in him.
But after the mask was removed, he acted totally hasty and insecure, yelling like a little kid which got its lollipop stolen.

I agree Kishi f***ed up with Tobi/Obito after Madara was introduced. Big reason was Rin flashback & stupid things he said like "u let Rin die".
Same thing happened with Madara also. BZ from nowhere stabbed Madara. And kishi created a new villain from nowhere.
