Despite Kakashi had a hard life, I just hate that he never once questioned the leaders about the Uchiha massacre. Itachi was on the same team as him, He truly believed that Itachi would just up and do that for no reason.

Kakashi doesn't smile, a crucial part of their character's is that they let their emotions eat them. Kakashi was borderline suicidal and still doesn't have a lot of self-worth whilst Itachi admitted that he failed in everything he set out to do.

The answer in my opinion is Jiraiya. Never let rejection of the woman he loved, serving in 2 world wars, betrayal of his teammate, death of his master, death of his students, being led to believe he was the child of prophecy and dying a horrible brutal death at the hands of kids that he saved.

Never stopped him smiling or changed his goofy old self, right until the very end.

While it might be true he had hard life I don't think he had it harder than Sasuke for several reasons.

They both really had a hard life,but killing those u love for others sake and sacrifice your future is harder than just losing them.And the thread says MENTALLY strongest character. Even after all this unfortunate things that happened to itachi,but still he didn't lose himself. But sasuke did and went under the curse of hatred.

You have to remember that Itachi actually had Shisui, his parents and his clan while he grew up. The difference is that Itachi had a choice. By doing that he knew what life he would get.

Sasuke didn't grow up with either. Sasuke's curse of hatred was neutralized when he got to know the truth.

Anyone who says Sasuke had hardest life must be joking. Itachi had much harder life.
Sasuke had best friends a person can ask for, yet he kept acting like an ******* towards them.
Itachi didn't even have an opportunity to live normal life, thanks to his clan.

Kakashi was suicidal and for the rest of the series has no self-worth at all. Constantly sad, not relaxed.

Sasuke dealt with it terribly many times, being manipulated too much to be considered 'emotionally strong'. In Boruto he's much better.

Itachi admitted to failing at everything he set out to do in his life and had a lot of self-pity.

I admit. But look,did sasuke ever killed those he loved??? He killed itachi,and then cried like a kid,and decided to avenge konoha.Itachi killed his parents,his friends,his gf, EVERYONE he could possibly care about,and left his brother behind. He took his beloved ones by his own hands. Sasuke at least had someone to put the blame on.But what about itachi???He was blaming himself all his life and always apologized to his brother.Sasuke was never forced to kill his friends,and if he did,it was his choice. Itachi didn't have such freedom. Besides,sasuke had friends he could rely on,like naruto,but he chose to abandon them.

Nah you're all wrong. Lord 1st had the hardest life and the best attitude to go with it.

Life full of war and death yet he had one of the best attitudes in the manga and actually accomplished his goals unlike some of the characters mentioned
