Ddos attackers take down xbox live, threaten Psn

A bunch of DDoS attackers who call themselves the Phantom Squad briefly took down Xbox Live a day ago, and have issued threats against the PlayStation Network. The group has warned that it’ll take down both services for up to a week over Christmas because they want to expose their week security arrangements. Phantom Squad’s Twitter account has since been suspended, but according to the screenshots obtained by various publications, the group said:

Why do we take down PSN and Xbox Live? Because cyber security does not exist. Some men just want to watch PSN and Xbox Live burn.

PSN and Xbox Live…companies that have millions of Dollars and don’t bother working on security. No, PSN and Xbox don’t use that money to improve their security. So until they open their eyes, Xbox Live and PSN will remain vulnerable.*

The group then warned that PSN was next, but so far, there haven’t been any reports of an attack on Sony’s network.

I'm a Xbox pc gamer and I can tell you it didn't happen. You even tried to use a gamer news site but for me in Europe I haven't had any problem with it and it wasn't down. So much for tryharding idiot

It was down on console, just because you havent experienced problems doesnt mean it went smoothly for others. People were unable to sign in, play cod, destiny, netflix & other tv services. Xbox support posted tweets saying they were going to fix the problem, which they did. Im not trying hard if what i posted is indeed a fact, so take your ignorance else where idiot

It is down even nothing works like last year with psn for 3 days but services not working perfect isn't down besides that my Xbox services were all good didn't show me any flaw. It didn't happen keep trying
