Definitely, don't let people try convince you to start with the prequel series. Also seriously remember this: the main character? There's an annoying part of his character which is intentional, it's his development- most people overlook the fact and consider him sh*t because he's not a cold dark edgy memelord like Wolverine or Sasuke.
