She wasn't too bad, though there was a lot she missed. Kiritsugu merely nodded his head. He had listened to her entire explanation, and before beginning, he only cleared his throat.
"Not bad for a beginner. Fire is indeed extremely destructive, difficult to tame as well as a very offensive element. Despite this, it can still be used for defensive purposes as well. As we know, Fire can be released from the mouth, limbs, or released through the ground. Fire comes in many forms, most projectile based, meaning they are fired towards the opponent in a sense. Except for that, Fire is also usually released in the form of a stream, which has to be kept active by holding a hand seal or focus, which means you can't use anything else while streaming a technique. There are solid fire, normal fire and even extremely hot ash, and we'll cover all those during training.
Now, Fire is weak to Water, since the Water is capable of dousing the Fire. However, something to remember, is that large quantities of Water and Fire that clash, can be used to create an effective smokescreen in the form of a steam that is formed. Fire is however, strong to Wind, since it feeds on the oxygen and consumes it, only to become stronger and deadlier. Earthen walls and defenses can be used to stop certain fire techniques, but it depends on size and thickness, so logic always plays a role. Lightning and Fire phase through each other in a sense, since they are both energy like elements.
Fire is indeed useful in close combat, and ranged combat as well. Anyway, got any questions on Fire before we move on?"
Kiritsugu now reached into his suitcase, while waiting for Mistral's answer.
