Soz for the delay.

So, my training method is quite different from the usual training methods you see on the base, which usually involves the sensei/senpai asking some basic questions and then teaching each individual technique, via a boring template or whatever. I'm going to teach you by the method system, devised by Scorps and Lili, and modified accordingly by Reborn and me.

Method System
In this system, each jutsu is grouped into the 'method' or category it falls in, irregardless of rank. For example; different forms of wind such as gusts, vortexes, etc would fall under their own category, and so forth. There are several methods for Wind Release, which I will post and explain in detail soon. After I finish explaining to you what the method entails, I'll ask you to list jutsus, which would fall under the method we would cover, which would test your understanding. Once you do that, I will teach you the jutsus of that method rank-wise and then move on to the next method.

Now, I want to check how much you know about your basics. I want you to tell me what is chakra, ninjutsu and handseals, preferably in your own words. Use the wikia as a guide, but please don't copy paste. I don't want to make this a boring cramming session. Also, after you define these basic concepts, can you tell me what wind in real life personifies for you? Like, how Fire signifies/personifies hope, as well as destruction.

Chakra is the life force of every living thing in the NV but this was not always true. Originally chakra belonged only to the Shinju tree but Kaguya took the tree's fruit and it's chakra becoming the first person to wield chakra. She then gave birth to Hamura and Hagoromo who were the first to be born with chakra. Hagoromo created ninshu which gave every living creature the ability to use chakra but was intended to be used to offer complete spiritual understanding of one another. This was not the case as man began to weaponize the chakra forming what we currently call ninjutsu. Ninjutsu in terms of NV is the usage of chakra to allow one to do things that they normally wouldn't be able to do but at the same time is different from genjutsu which makes one see illusions ninjutsu effects are real. It is also divided into two catergories one being shape manipulation and chakra nature. An example of shape manipulation would be rasengan while chakra nature would be the basic five fire, water, wind, earth, lightning. Skilled shinobi combine these together to make powerful ninjutsu such as wind style rasen-shuriken. Unlike rasengan and it's variants most ninjutsu require hand seals to mold and thread chakra into various forms to preform different techniques. As far as I know there are only 12 hand seals: rat, boar, horse, dog, tiger, dragon, ram, bird, ox, snake, monkey, and hare. Off topic The story of Kaguya and the tree reminds me of the Christian story of Eve and the forbidden tree, while the hand seals seem to represent the chinese zodiac.

Vague, but decent. Also, you forgot to answer what Wind personifies.

Chakra: "Chakra" is basically life essence or life force which exists in human bodies and animals. Without it, a shinobi can die. It can be considered "blood" and soul for a ninja. It is the molding of physical energies and spiritual energies in the body. Physical energy is the energy given off by the body cells and can be increased with more stamina and practise. Spiritual energy is derived from the consciousness of the mind and can be increased through great concentration and meditation. It is the basis for all almost all the ninja skills like Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, except Taijutsu in some special cases. It flows through the chakra circulatory system, and in it, there are 361 points aka nodes in the body known as tenkutsu. The function of the tenketsu is to regulate and control the flow of chakra. If these weren't present, then chakra would flow through some specific organ, thus there wouldn't be a balance in the chakra flow. Every ninja in the narutoverse possesses a chakra pool. Shinobis with a very high chakra pool like Naruto can perform a lot of higher ranked techniques like Multiple Shadow Clone Technique, etc. without having the fear of getting their chakra depleted at once. Senju Clan members for eg, have very high chakra reserves and a high physical energy aka high "Yang" energy, thus their naturally strong bodies and on the other hand, the Uchiha clan members have a very high spiritual energy, i.e. high "Yin" energy, thus their proficiency in genjutsu and visual prowess. It is possible to have high chakra if you possess very strong willpower. If chakra runs out completely in a shinobi, then he dies as shown when Kakashi died due to his chakra completely running out against Deva Pein. It can be divided into several types like:

Elemental Chakra
Senjutsu chakra
Bijuu Chakra

Ninjutsu: Ninjutsu means "Ninja Arts" and is something that allows the shinobi to do something that a normal human can't do, like walking on water, manipulating elements, the usage of special as well as bladed weapons, stealth, transformation, etc. The effects of ninjutsu are real. Most of the time, it heavily relies on the usage of handseals as well as chakra. Regular ninjutsu doesn't incorporate the usage of elements for it, like stealth, a basic Rasengan, etc. Elemental Ninjutsu is an advanced form of ninjutsu, which incorporates the usage of basic 5 elements, as well as advanced combinations to create stronger jutsus which have the respective properties of the 5 elements. Elemental ninjutsu is stronger to regular ninjutsu, since regular ninjutsu only uses raw chakra, whereas, elemental ninjutsu uses both Shape Manipulation and Nature Transformation. The perfect Rp example would be that, a Wind natured or a Lightning natured Rasengan would have a greater destructive force than a standard Rasengan, obviously because the elemental Rasengan contains violently rotating chakra as well as the violently rotating chakra is given the property of the respective elements.

Handseals: Handseals are hand gestures, which primarily manipulate chakra and dictate the exact amount of chakra needed for the respective specific technique. Weaving of handseals makes chakra take different "patterns". Some techniques require a large number of handseals, which is related to the complexity of performing that technique and if not weaved properly, in order, or if the user loses focus in between, then the technique is either executed in a weaker state, or it is dispersed midway, depending on the specific technique. A good example is Water Dragon Bullet Technique. It was shown that the technique required a string of 44 handseals to perform, however the Second Hokage, Tobirama could perform it with a single handseal, due to his unparalled Water mastery. It is shown in the manga that with time, a shinobi after mastering the specific technique, requires one-literally no handseals to perform it, an example being Chidori, which required some handseals when Sasuke just learnt it. In our RP, the user can perform any 2 elemental releases of his choice, depending on the elements he has placed as specialties, with one-virtually no handseals/faster handseals. Usually, handseals are performed with both the hands, but Haku, Minato, etc have demonstrated the ability to perform it with only a single hand. The 12 basic handseals are Monkey, Ram, Dog, Horse, Dragon, Boar, Rat, Snake, Ox, Hare, Bird, Tiger.

I will keep those in mind in the future also sorry about the last part. To me wind signifies life, ultimate freedom, peace, but at the same time can be a dangerous if not most dangerous force around.

Well said. Now, moving on, do you know how Fuuton chakra is formed?
"From my understanding Fuuton chakra is formed by molding ones chakra making it as thin and as sharp as possible. I believe this is due to the nature of wind being nearly invisible for the most part and so one must try to mimic that invisibility."

Correct. Now you'll learn how to mold Fuuton chakra.

Here. This is a special chakra paper. It has been made from trees fed with chakra. It will react to the chakra nature you channel to it. This is commonly used to test what affinity a shinobi has. Before we start wind training, let me check if you have the wind affinity. This is an exceptionally rare affinity. If fire natured chakra is channeled, it burns and turns to ash, for water, it turns damp, for lightning, it wrinkles, for earth, it will turn to dirt and crumble away, and finally for the wind nature, it will split exactly in half.

You must be registered for see images

Now, start by closing your eyes and meditate. Calm down your mind and let out all the unnecessary thoughts. Your only thought should be splitting the paper in half. Chakra continuously flows in your body; it can be described as breathing, meaning it happens naturally. Imagine stopping your breathing. What did you do? You took control of something that happened naturally. Similarly, you're going to learn how to "take control" of your chakra flow. Now, focus on the flow of your chakra in your body and let it be steady. Remember, chakra flows in our chakra circulatory system, like how blood flows. Once you focus, picture an image of wind blowing away anything, and then focus on the properties of wind in your mind(free, calm, sharp and fast flowing). Then, make your chakra "mimic" wind's properties. This is known as nature manipulation; making your chakra mimic an elemental nature. For splitting the paper in half, you need to do something I told before; imagining splitting your chakra into exactly half and making these two halves grind against each other, while they sharpen each other into fine pieces. This is one way of forming wind chakra. Once you feel the newly formed chakra nature, channel it into the special chakra paper. This won't happen instantly, but requires a lot of concentration and focus. If done rightly, it will split it into exactly half. A good example of how wind has raw cutting and shredding force.

Keji sits with paper in his right hand and begins to meditate. In his meditation he begins focusing on the two separate forms of chakra spiritual and physical. Once he had identified the two he began to making them mimic the properties of wind. Once he accomplished this he began to imagine two opposing tornado's spinning in opposite directions and clashing against each other. Keji then begins to start focusing this chakra into the paper but only a small slit appears. After taking a breath he began to meditate again repeating the process and this time the paper was torn in half. Keji stood and present the paper to his sensei.

Moving on, here's a question for you:

Can you tell me what projectiles and streams are?

Well done.

Can you tell me what projectiles and streams are?
"Hmmm. I have heard many ways of describing the two but I will try my best." Keji picks up a rock "Projectile in the way I understand it is an object, but what makes an object a projectile is the force applied to set that object in motion. For example this rock, is an ordinary rock like any other you see here but when force is applied..." Keji channels small amounts of chakra into the rock and throws it "It becomes a projectile capable or harming an enemy or protecting/aiding an ally." Keji the looks at the sky "Do you feel the breeze coming by? This is how I would describe a stream or flow if you will. It is something that continues to move from a source like a river, this wind, or chakra, but streams may not always be this peaceful. Take a river for example while one day it may be calm another for various reasons it can become very dangerous and threatening but no matter which state it is it constantly streams from the same source." Hoping he didn't confuse his sensei he speaks more "In short a projectile is an short and rapid like water gun or mud shot while a stream is constant flow like a chakra moving a stone golem; if that stream is broken the golem stops moving."

Very good. You have the basics clear.

Projectiles: Projectiles are objects which are propelled into the air. For eg: shurikens, kunais, etc. These are thrown towards the opponent. Now, projectiles move in a certain fixed direction, unless their direction is externally changed by blowing wind, water, etc. Coming to the element, wind projectiles are wind jutsus which are "flung" at the opponent. For eg: Blades of wind. Several wind blades are released from the hand or from the body. Once these projectiles are released, one can't alter their trajectory and it is out of your control now. With projectiles the user gathers all their chakra into one central focus point and releases the chakra all in one burst or divided in several bursts of compact wind chakra with its own set of energy, meaning the chakra is concentrated at one single point and thus the area of damage is short compared to streams, however due to the concentration being large, one single point when hit by a projectile faces massive damage.

Streams: A stream is a constant and well defined flow of an any material. For eg: a stream of wind. Here, you gather chakra, and then simply release it in a steady flow outwards toward your target and you maintain that steady flow until the chakra you've built up for the technique is no longer there. This means that streams have their power spread out evenly throughout the technique as opposed to several individualized burst of chakra that have their own capabilities, meaning you have to constantly focus on your chakra, however, you're free to alter the direction of your attack, since you still maintain the control over it until the amount of chakra that is built up gets exhausted.

Can you tell me the advantages and drawbacks of both projectiles and streams?

Keji pounders for a bit "Advantages. For projectiles I would say rapid succession, more concentrated chakra and so deals more damage with each hit, and finally manuverability as you can fire a projectile move and fire another rinse and repeat. For streams would be the constant attack meaning the opponent can't just defend and move but will have to hesitate and think or risk injury. Another is the ability to freely control the direction of a streamed assault allowing for a variety of combat tactics. Disadvantages for projectile would be the lack of control compared to that of stream based jutsu and the constant need for precision to hit what one is trying to hit. My biggest concern about streams is that while it is controllable opponents can stream their own attacks to you through your own take for ex. fire and wind or water and lightning."

Very good! A small write up:

Advantages Of Projectiles: The advantages of projectiles are that once you release them, you're free to follow up with other techniques. You can materialize a large no. of projectiles and attack the enemy from different directions. Now, this hinders the vision of the enemy to you, and vice versa. While he's busy dealing with the projectiles rushing through different directions, you can follow up with a sneak attack or an attack that immobilizes him, thus making it harder for him to evade them. They go towards the opponent quickly, and hence are useful in short range.

Disadvantages Of Projectiles: The disadvantages of projectiles are that, though quick in release, once projectiles are released you have no control over them. It's generally the same in every case with projectile based weaponry minus attachments like wire that allow you control. However in the case of chakra based projectiles like these, after exhaling exit from the point of release there is no real control over the projectiles. The direction you've launched is where it will go and it could be very easy to avoid them with basic techniques that could move you out of the line of fire. There is the problem of the rapid projectiles. What are rapid projectiles? These are projectiles divided into several parts, i.e. several wind disks fired at once, etc..now the disadvantage here is that, they don't all have the power of that particular rank, their collective power combined = the rank of the technique as a whole. What this means is, as you divide the projectiles into several shots, they considerably get weaker allowing for your opponent to exploit the weakness. Some techniques may converge at a single point (usually the target) so that they may not be able to avoid harm by just attacking individual shots, there is still that possibility. Those who try to cover a wider range with more projectiles will leave themselves at a disadvantage. The opponent can protect just their frontal. Another big disadvantage is this method is that these techniques aren't very prone to combos with other techniques, especially those of other elements. The projectiles are generally so compressed and dense that the possibility of combos isn't much. The sheer concept of a projectile makes it less prone to be comboed with wind or lightning as the projectiles would require insane precision to be comboed with a wind or lightning technique. Projectiles aren't also very usable with water for the same reason as earth as the projectiles would simply "rupture" and not deliver its effect due to the small time in contact with the combo technique. The main disadvantages are that projectiles are fast yes, but less versatile in combat and for the most part, easy to defend.

Advantages Of Streams: With constant streams, you have a set level of power coursing throughout your entire technique, as opposed to projectiles where you may end up releasing several projectiles with limited strength. You also have a larger range of wind with these techniques for the most part. With projectiles just covering single points, to a certain distance, constant stream based wind techniques provide you with a wider area of attack.

Disadvantages Of Streams: The biggest disadvantage that streams seem to have is the weakness of being unable to perform another technique while the one they currently use is in effect. With projectiles, you channel all the chakra for the technique into that one (or several) shot(s) of wind and once it's released, you're freed up to preform even more techniques for attack or defense, etc, etc. However, with a constant stream of wind, you're constantly fueling the chakra and feeding the technique. Without Yin Yang release to possibly control more elements at once, the user must stop the technique they're doing to change natures or even techniques of the same nature. This gives your opponent various openings, attacking you with a technique that forces you to maintain that technique while they attack from different angels. If they have the free hands and you don't they can easily take advantage of that, leaving you helpless.

This gives your opponent various openings, attacking you with a technique that forces you to maintain that technique while they attack from different angels. If they have the free hands and you don't they can easily take advantage of that, leaving you helpless.

We'll start with the method system now.

Method 1: Tangible Blasts
Method 2: Slicing Gusts
Method 3: Vortexes
Method 4: Specifics (Rasengan/Grappling)

Method 1: Tangible Blasts

Alright, for the most part, the techniques within this method consist of large and powerful gusts that you exhale from your mouth or release from another point of the body or simply out of thin air. These gusts contain a few essential properties. These wind techniques can either be long lasting, forceful gusts that have the ability to blow back various items and people/animals of various sizes. These powerful gusts apply a strong pressure in whatever direction release and, therefore any object that comes into contact will be forced back into the direction essentially. If in direct opposition (where one is coming in the direct opposite direction of the wind) or cornered against a wall or obstruction that prevents the flow, the pressure from the wind can have tremendous affects. The second type of skill these techniques may possess are blunt force; wind that is so compressed and refined that once it makes impact with the target it creates a blunt force, almost as if it was hit with a solid object. So techniques that create compact spheres will make impact in similar a way to a bullet or if the wind is spread out a little more like a wall, it could create the sensation of a solid wall impacting, etc. On that note there are distinct ways to casting the two different types of techniques in this section.

1) For Gusts: You'll gather your fuuton chakra through your body to the point of release and then you will release a steady, fast, and powerful gust of wind. You're gathering a fixed amount of chakra and then you're steadily releasing that chakra in the form of wind. You'll need to make sure it's fast and wide as the speed will give more momentum and force behind the technique.

2) For Blunt blasts: Think of projectiles. You'll gather a fixed amount of chakra like you would for any technique and then you would use shape manipulation to compact the wind into a compressed form like a ball, or whatever the technique entails. You'll then release the technique towards your opponent. The wind will be fast so it'll make impact quickly and once it does, it'll make a blunt impact almost like a solid.

Could you tell me the advantages and drawbacks of method 1, going by it's summary?

Method one seems to fall under projectiles if I am not mistaken.

1) Gust Advantages: When it comes to defensive the gust jutsu in this method seem ideal for deflecting enemy jutsu, weapons, and the actual enemy. These would also be ideal when an enemy is trapped as the gust having no way to flow or escape would apply tremendous pressure on the enemies body causing damage.

2) Blast Advantages: These are more refined attacks in my opinion. Blast should essentially only be used for attacking unless you are defending against a raiton jutsu. Due to there consentration of chakra and how you shape them once they hit an opponent they are causing physical damage like being hit with a rock. Another plus to blast is that they are fast moving projectiles which is great for bombarding/ setting up you opponent.

3) Disadvantages: I would honestly like to refer to the disadvantages of projectiles for both of these as I view them as projectiles.

Correct.

Advantages

To one extent, the long gusts, these technique aren’t necessarily the longest in range but many of them are definitely wide and the width of the technique is very crucial. These techniques essentially make it difficult to avoid when one is within length range of the techniques. These techniques can drag out and if not immediately defended, there is enough pressure to prevent your opponent reacting in the way they would want.

In reference to the blunt force blasts, these are where the real damaging factors of this method come in. These techniques are compressed and powerful and they almost simulate an actual solid object making impact. Small and medium sized weaponry or objects can be deflected, potential bone breaking/crushing can occur if hit with a considerably powerful technique. Disorientation, hesitation/inability to quickly rebound from a powerful strike, etc. Earth based techniques can be combatted with techniques like these.

Disadvantages

As stated before, wind is a flowing entity and, even though it can produce powerful techniques, it is a yielding element in some degrees like water. What I mean by this is, for gusts especially, if a solid enough entity is used to defend, the wind cannot force its way through but it will go around. Earth based techniques are especially preferred when blocking wide gusts. The wind will simply move around the solid entity when it realizes it cannot force its way through. Unlike earth or other solid entities, when opposed, wind does not simply drop it diverts the energy around and continues to flow. As well that energy used to find an alternative route is energy lost by the overall technique.

For blunt force blasts, there is a completely different issue. Though fast as all wind techniques, these technique encompass a vastly diminished range with wise than with the gust based techniques of this method. This provides more room for opponents to avoid such techniques without necessarily needing a wide defense/counter. As well, the construction for techniques like this is to compress the wind in order to have it flow in a much tighter and compact space. Since this is indeed, not a solid entity, the wind will most likely disperse upon immediate impact. These are short lived techniques and generally shorter in range. Though these sudden dispersions can be explosive and cause damage, they still encompass a significantly smaller space.
