Alright heres my first post/theory so lets get it
First, i want to point towards odas first series "monsters" which had ryumma before he was a zombie. There was another character named cyrano who happens to be related to flower blade Vista via bloodline. In monsters, cyrano is viewed as a good guy only to be later shown as a bad, deceptive, cold blooded swordman and was seen looting JEWLERY from the town(ill refer back to this)
Fast foward to the beginning of one piece. We have roronoa zoro who i believe is a descendant of ryumma. We also have flower blade vista as the 5th ranked guy of the wb pirates. Now this is where my theory starts to formulate.
Its obvious zoros whole character is based off of wano. Taking that into consideration, you can even look at zoro vs zombie ryumma as a recreation of ryumma vs the dragon(oda added his own spice and made zoro the dragon which is why he set ryumma on fire with his slash)
Now if you assume oda will keep monsters theme with some slight differences, i think the next most obvious conclusion to arrive to would be zoro fighting the cyrano equivalent (vista) of op. Now many of you are probably like, vista is a wb pirate, hes a good guy, how would a fight with him and zoro make sense? Well hear this
We saw how blackbeard didn't display his full strength on wb ship and waited to act on his plan. Bb was the 6 captain in command on wb ship but was obviously the 2nd strongest next to wb. I bring up bb because i believe blackbeards strongest crew menber was also undercover with him on wb ship. And that is non other than flower vlade vista. Heres vistas backstory
Vista, just like his ancestor cyrano, is a skilled swordman but is also a very sneaky self centered person. Idk if bb and vista joined at the same time or not, but i think that bb and vista saw eye to eye with their goals in line with each other. Bb wants to be pirate king anf vista wants to be best swordsman. Difference between luffy and bb aspirations for pk are that luffy is doing is the right way while bb is taking shortcuts and backstabbing allies to advance his plans. It only makes sense that zoros (who is similar to luffy in becoming best swordman by training and defeating people who are considered better swordsman) enemy would be similar to his captain blackbeard ( who essentially lies, cheats, and steals to accomplish his goals).
When blackbeard heard of vistas goal to be too swordman, he remembered another devil fruit from the devil fruit book he had and suggested to vista that with this fruit, he could easily be the strongest swordman. What fruit did blackbeard suggest to vista? Non other than the.......DIAMOND DIAMOND fruit. Jozu's fruit.
Its been said/shown that not even the strongest swordman has yet to accomplish the feat of cutting diamond. Its the best possible fruit for any swordman. Now, unlike blackbeard, whos fruit didn't have a user, the diamond fruit was ate by jozu so in order for vista to get this fruit, he couldn't just kill him due to jozu being diamond and the fact that devil fruits go into circulation after the user dies. Well, that was until blackbeard got his yami yami and gura gura.
I believe Vista was aware that bb can steal devil fruits and bb told him he would test removing devil fruits on wb, and it worked. We also saw in dressrosa, burgess was going to steal luffys gomu gomu with a special sword/knife.
So basically vistas plan this whole time has involved infiltrating wb crew to be close to jozu. He has been waiting for the best time to make his move but his plan almost went down the shitter. How? When he fought mihawk during the marineford war.if you go back and watch the 2min fight they had, mihawk and Vista had very interesting convo.
First, mihawk addressed flower blade vista by calling him 5th fleet leader of the wb pirates. Vista then acts surprised by the fact that mihawk knew who he was to which mihawk says something along the lines of "it would be even stranger if i didn't know who you were". Now if you consider that vista was undercover, then its plausible that he hid his full strength(like blackbeard) on wb ship. Dracule is known/nicknmaed as hawk eye, so i would summarize that its impossible to hid you're full strength in front of him. Mihawk can sense if you're supressing you're strength(vista) and sense if you have dormant power within you(luffy, zoro, and vista too)
2 more things vista said was after he did rose rondo and mihawk countered it, he said "what flower should I make bloom next" this ties into jozu. When mihawk suggested they hold their battle for ANOTHER DAY, vista said "i think it would be in both of our interest to save their battle for another day" this implies 2 things. First, it says they will fight again. Second, it shows that vista feels that he'll be more suited/ready to fight mihawk next time they meet
Now i believe that when vista mentioned a flower blooming, it was a sutle way of explaining how he'll be jozu. Think, no physical attacks can even scratch jozu, let alone a sword. And if you sneak up on his, jozu can solidify fairly quickly. How do you beat someone like that. If you cant attack his outside, you have to attack his insides. I believe that vista mightve planted some type of plant seed in jozu which has been festering inside jozu for quite some time now. I believe when the time is right, vista will make his move and jozu will be too slow to react and he'll die. With this opportunity, vista will either use the df blade or have bb help and he will get the diamond fruit. Referencing one of my first paragraphs, i believe vista stealing the DIAMOND FRUIT will put him onthe same deuch level as his ancestor cyrano. They both will have stolen jewelry through deception with vistas actually being a devil fruits as opposed to just jewelry.
With weeble possibly killing marco and jozu dead, the red hair pirates along with mihawk and the strawhats will go after the bb lirates. The strawhats will be intercepted by weeble and shanks crew gets their rematch. I believe that mihawk vista 2 happens here. I can see mihawk completely outclassing vista as a swordman but not even mihawk will be able to cut diamond and vista will eventually kill mihawk and take the title of strongest swordsman. Zoro will have to avenge mihawk and cut diamond to accomplish his dreams of worlds greatest swordsman and zoro vs vista will be another recreation of ryumma vs cyrano from monster's
And those who thought zoro would fight shiryu, wrong. It hit me smack dab in the face who shiryu is going to fight. Shiryu will fight the newst member of the strawhats, kinemon. Why? Its so obvious. We know that wano is 1 countrydivided in 5 places. We know shiryu kf the rain is from the rain village. Fox fire kinemon is from the fire village. Water vs fire. Simple as that. Plus shiryu is trying to be a top swordsman like vista so it makes each matchup make more sense.
