Neji is his Jounin self from early part 2, around the time they're chasing Akatsuki for kidnapping Gaara.

Location: On grass right next to a lake.
Distance: 30 meters.
Restrictions: None
Intel/First Thoughts: Neji recognizes Zabuza's headband as being from Kirigakure and also sees his impressive sword, which leads him to think it possible that Zabuza is one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. He also considers the possibility that Zabuza will use Kirigakure no Jutsu since Kirigakure shinobi are notorious for it. Zabuza recognizes the Byakugan, knows he's fighting a Hyuuga, and that close quarters will be dangerous.
Intent: Kill

It should be noted that Byakugan can in fact see through Hidden Mist:

Byakugan obviously sees trough the mist people.

Neji is a bad matchup for Zabuza. I don't see him actually beating him, that's the problem, but Zabuza's moveset is countered badly here so it goes to Neji.

Zabuza is a lot stronger tho

literally try and prove why it wouldnt be able to see through the mist.

nvr said it won't.i said some guy went full r and edited the wiki.
The link the used to support the statement in wiki is of chp 26 pg 10 till when Byakugan was not even introduced.

Depends, better that Neji manages to come close to Zabuza and fight with taijutsu. But all in allyes, he could win

Neji's wins low/med diff..
All of zabzus moves, water dragon/water prison are countered elegantly and all traps are laughed at , hidden mist is shat on and silent kill movements gets pissed on , his blade gets ****-blocked by chakra expulsion/kaiten an his taijutsu gets laughed at by jyuken..

What can zabuza do to even give neji a med diff fight? Neji shits neg diff , the only thing goin for zabuza is his jonin level/rank which is laghed at due to neji bein the same rank and not to mention he hard counters him to death..

Even if Neji couldn't see through mist, he can still defend himself while he is inside of the mist

Neji can basically cover an area around himself with chakra that acts like Jiraiya's sensor barrier. It's quite the underrated technique

So even if his eye sight gets hindered he has ways around it

Think about how much chakra he had at that time. He was really a monster. If you go back and read the fight and count how many times he used 64 palms and rotation and that shroud of chakra. Absurd.

I don't watch the anime, but he certainly has a lot of chakra. Highly underrated in part 1 IMO.

It also happend in manga , only it showed the multitudes of craters left from the rotations..

Do u think vacuum wall palm cost more chakra than a single standard rotation?

Doubtful. Rotation is probably more both in amount of chakra and skill it takes to use.

He used rotation twice and 64 palms twice. What's absurd about that. He did the same to naruto.

When have you ever seen any other person use their chakra as a shroud like that? That alone is a big feat in addition to the other moves.
