You're correct, because banning people from doing things always stops them from doing it. That's why murders, thefts, rapes, assaults, kidnappings, and arson never happen anymore.

You do realize that you already are banned from killing and eating people, right? And, as you said before, religions are a system of beliefs. How do you ban beliefs? How do you stop someone from thinking the way they do? You can't ban a religion because, even with a ban, you can't force beliefs out of someone's head.
