White Privelege!!! Did you ever want to be white?

I think I can recall a time when I was younger and had the thought of wanting to be white or hating my skin color. Recently my younger cousin said he wished he was white. One time he was afraid of his online friends (Xbox live) finding out he wasn't white.

Is it because of white privelege? He told me his reason for why he said but I don't quite remember. I've had many bad experiences because of my skin color you know the racial profiling and all. I don't know what he has experienced.

Has anyone ever had a similar thought?

Dark skin is considered impure in many cultures. Interestingly, every human/civilization was dark skinned at some point until they migrated north so it's funny that people think being dark skinned is impure. I'm brown skinned myself and I definitely don't believe in something silly as any racial superiority.

Once apon a time when I was way younger, cause white kids are portrayed as spoiled & rich.


But my family lives upscale & my dad is opening a new business making anywhere from 40-400$ a day, and he still maintains a job as a sub-college teacher.

I may be a light skinned 16 year old, but I've had my fair share of of gfs and around 25% of them wouldn't date a white guy, any other race they're fine with but they said they generally stay away from white for some reason.

So I'm content & likely more well endowed anyway :Sparks:
