[Discussion] What exactly is yonko level?

Yeah just 3 fighters who were said to be the only ones capable of fighting each other, ya know not in another tier or anything.
We have had this discussion before but it is obvious the next pk has to beat any admiral and any yonko in his way. Considering we know that there will be an eos war then it only stands to follow that luffy will beat all of these opponents by the end. That I think puts him on another level and means that as pk, he has established pk level

Not really. Becoming PK isn't determined by individual strength.
Being the strongest and by yourself means you have absolutely no chance of becoming PK, while a weakling can become Pirate King by amassing a strong enough force to compensate for his individual lack of power. Crew>strength when it comes to becoming PK.
Luffy may not need to but he will, if you look at his competition, hes going to need to be a Top tier. Unless Luffy is going to gang up on BB, then he will be at least in the Top 2 of the strongest characters that ever existed.

I'm not denying this. I'm just saying that crew is more important than strength because Luffy can be the toppest of his own top tier, but if he can't make it out East Blue, he ain't becoming King.
Strength attracts strong crew as a general rule. But this is also shonen, which means individual strength carries you much farther than it does in real life. And yes you need a strong crew but having a strong crew isn't enough either. You must be able to individually beat the like of the yonkou. Beyond that I am not saying an individual without a crew can't be on PK level. Instead PK level is based only on the ability to beat yonkou and admirals consistently, not necessarily actually being the pk, it may be a misnomer but its a way of applying Rogers level to all future pks who need to have similar strength to roger individually
Riker is just arguing semantics. He know roger is above the admirals and other yonko but he doesn't think there is a pk tier because that implies individual strength alone grants it and thus there can be PK level fighters without being pk. He is right in that takes more than individual strength but he is arguing semantics because he doesn't realize that pk tier is simply a level of strength required by the pk and that others can be pk tier.

Admiral tier, Yonko tier, and Pirate King tier are all the same thing. This should be pretty freakin' obvious by the fact that Oda said Akainu would become Pirate King in a year if he was the protagonist instead of Luffy.
You can't be the pirate king if other pirates can beat you. Luffy made the distinction of PK clear that he would beat anyone in his way be they admirals or Yonko or he won't be the Pirate King. Luffy will obviously surpass everyone to be pirate king.

That's what being Pirate King means to Luffy. For all we know, other people are content with becoming PK through manpower of an army, or deception. Luffy doesn't speak for everyone.

Roger was unbeatable? Explains how Garp almost killed him numerous times, a storm saved him from Shiki, and Whitebeard was stated to be his equal
It doesn't matter, for all we know they could've been equals as Roger was moving up in the world.
Luffy almost got killed by Buggy once, Crocodile almost 3 times and they're fodder to him now.
Shanks was Buggy's equal at one point but look at them now.
If akainu was the protagonist he would get the same benefits luffy gets like plot shield and major strength power ups. This is a story and the difference here is that akainu is not a protagonist and thus the story will never be written to portray akainu that way meaning he will never be strong enough.
Roger is individually only matched by garp and wb and it's clear they are no other stronger than admirals in their prime. Beyond that pk has to be able to consistently beat admirals and yonko to be a pk, this means the pk is a tier above. Not sure why you are debating this when the manga clearly shows that roger was beyond the realm of the admirals
