Isn't it weird how early Gaara was made Kazekage?

Almost everyone still thought of him as a homicidal monster and on top of that he was only 15. What in the world did someone say to make the feudal lord and village elders agree to make him Kazekage?

Wasn't Pakura still alive during this time? And Chiyo/Baki/Shira etc.

There was competition. Gaara just earned their trust. Plus if you take a look at the Sand during Shippuden time, every ninja of significance is ANCIENT. Chiyo, Sasori, 3rd Kazekage, Gaara's dead dad, Ebizo and Bunpuku- clearly the Sand very recently came out of a Golden age.

Suna didn't had option. Beside Gaara the options was Baki, Temari or Kakurou.


Suna was really a weak village if their best option to a Kazekage was just a Kid with 12 years with no political capacity to be a leader who was Homicidal Psychopath and wanted to kill everybody in the village not long time ago.

Konoha never would accept as a Kage a Kid with 12 Years with a really dark past for example.

Even Onoki didn't respect and made jokes with Gaara in their first encounterer because Suna elected a Kid as a kazekage.




Suna is the most pathetic village

The most strong Kazekage was beaten easily by sasori.

Gaara's father was killed easily by Oro.

Gaara was captured easily by Deidara.

Suna had the most weak Bijuu while the others villages had two bijuus and Konoha had kyuubi.

Konoha defeated Suna easily in Orochimaru's invasion..
