I've played all the batmans except for arkham knight and thats because i don't have a pc that can work through that muddled pc port. And i'm sure its good even if it probably has flaws, but in regards to the others, Honestly origins was my favorite.

I don't know why people hated origins so damn much. I know it was another studio, another set of actors etc etc, but i honestly loved it more.

Most of the things i loved come down to the art direction, cut scenes, story, etc etc, but even many of the gameplay choices were welcome.

For starters, i loved the darker tone. The immature young batman who's all angry. I loved adding depth to alfred. I loved loved LOVED how they had blackmask orchestrate hits on batman and the twist that
Black mask was really the joker
. I thought the less cartoony gotham was decent and gloomy in a good way.

I loved the graphics, the harsh fast paced cinematics. How they used movie like camera angles and great effects, and wonderful use of christmas music and other classic songs during some key moments.

I loved the advancements to the combat and the addition of the grapple accelerator. I loved some of the boss fights with people like death stroke.

I loved the long dialogues, i loved the shock gloves, and i honestly felt like it was the best subjective game.

Were it the first in the arkham series, it would have won game of the year. but since people have this idea that "this is batman arkham, this one that is diferent is therefore worse".

Does anyone agree? I actually had less bugs with this game than the other games, and its the only one i played through more than once.

Sublime from start to finish

I like it. But, I beat it too quick. It was too easy and short. When I beat the game I was surprised it was already over. It also didn't have as much stuff as arkham city. Like play as robin etc.

Never played Origins. Heard nothing but subpar/bad things about the game. And as far as Arkham Knight goes, it really pains me to say but you're not missing anything by skipping the game. I really, really enjoyed Arkham Knight - however the game spends FAR to much time forcing you to use the Batmobile, and I honestly HATED the tank battles that you were forced to play through. Arkham Knight also started off great, but quickly started stretching on for far to long. The main villain [scarecrow] and the secondary villain [the Arkham Knight] are barely even in the game, giving you no sense of accomplishment or progression as you play on. The ending was also hugely anti-climatic, and even worse is if you don't 100% the game you don't even get the ending!

My favorite Batman game thus far is bar-none Arkham City. It took Arkham Asylum and raised the bar even higher.

Honestly from what i've seen, if they took out tank battles and just replaced them with more batman levels, it'd be the best one

They didn't necessarily need to take out the tank battles, but they should have taken every tank battle in the game and placed them all in one long side quest/villain quest. Then left the main story to just Batman. I didn't mind the tank battles at first, but when I had to fight those damn boss tanks (forget what they're called, but they're extremely annoying when in large groups) for the 5th time in the main story It really was impacting what was otherwise a top notch Batman game.

Arkham Knight was AWESOME. Cons are to much Batmobile but you'll get over it. The game is just beautiful, the gameplay great, and the plot is just to good. And the DLC is awesome too. You ARE MISSING OUT if you skip the FINALE to the Arkham Series you seriously are.

Arkham City, because it was didn't involve developers lying about what was going on in the game, the game wasn't a complete flop at launch for a whole platform, and it raised the bar so much higher than it had been set by it's predecessor.

I've played every Arkham game, and City was the best one in my experience.

Personally I liked the reveal with Black Mask it felt very Batman-esque but I understand why some people got their panties in a uproar, we had a game marketed the entire time as a new villain, breaking away from the Joker which some fans wanted then they find out they were "lied" to by the studio's marketing. Aside from that, much like Assassins Creed, each installment in the Batman series has felt pretty much the same with a few tweaks(really most the big games are like this now)

City will be hard to beat for most the same way AC2 is. The first were good, the seconds improved so people got hooked then the third's kind of stagnated because of too much familiarity.

1. Arkham City - I think this is by far the best Batman game. The fighting is flawless, the story very good the boss battles fun, I love the optional content. I have 100% this game.

2. Arkham Origins - I think this game gets a bad wrap because of when it was released it had a lot of bugs which I never experienced. And another knock is it's just like City which is half true.

There are a lot of combat changes that it doesn't get credit for which I think improved on City. I loved how big the world felt and I personally always love seeing the beginnings of Batman. My one complaint is I wish the Joker wasn't in this game.

3. Arkham Knight - Yes the Batmobile was overused but still was a good game. I loved the Main narrative and I loved the optional missions. But the Joker was amazing which really put it up there.

4. Arkham Asylum - This when it came was by far the best Batman game ever made. The story really good getting explore and learn about the Asylum was cool. Seeing all the nods to other Batman characters was cool at the time. But my one knock is fighting the Titan guy's and Bane are all basically the same fight.

5. Batman Begins is actually OK kinda a Splinter Cell rip off but for a movie tie in game pretty good.

Other then that there aren't that many good Batman games. Rocksteady has spoiled us very much.
