[Discussion] Jack's bounty is a Big Lie.

Yep... You heard me right..
It's told in manga that his bounty is 1 Billion by his underlings.
This is something fishy to be true, actually.
We have already heard that the bounty increases at a very slow rate once it crosses 300 million.

We have already heard that there were fights between Kaidou and Shanks. Means Shanks is of strength almost equal to or a little more or less compared to Kaidou's.
And Jack is Kaidou's right hand man. Also he got thrown upside down by Nekomamushi. His trunk attack was stopped by Duke Inuarashi by one hand. Also if is said that he got beaten by the Sengoku, Tsuru and others.

Don't you think that the case with the cat and dog shouldn't be happening in the first place?

Jack's character seems to be like Usopp's. A Liar against Liar.

What do you guys think?

He wasn't lying, even Usopp does lie about his bounty, and lying would make no difference in that situation, since Jack and his men were going to attack either way, it's not as if they will let the minks run if the minks were scared.

I think u are underestimating Inu and Neko's power.
It's not hard to believe there are Islands in the New World (who survived on their own for centuries) that have monstrously strong inhabitants on it.
The Minks are naturally born warriors. Luffy even complemented the duke stating he looked very strong.

All he said was his subordinates don't know when to stop talking which they constantly do a lot by praising him. Not hinting they are lying but just more like bragging, he is kaido's strongest calamity it's not beyond the reasoning that he has 1 billion bounty

I think his bounty is not a lie, and it was time we start upping the ante for this new world bosses. I mean, it's finally good to put a number to Sengoku and Garp and the admirals. We've always known they were a strength to beware, but now we're starting to get a hold of just how much so

A bounty is a reflection of the threat a person poses. So an irrational, strong person that loves destruction is going to have a higher bounty that someone who is simply strong. The guy didn't flinch at haphazardly attacking a heavily guarded marine convoy containing an admiral and a former fleet-admiral. They call him a calamity for a reason. He probably has been piling up the bounties because of his severe and irrational destructive urges so I can really see him going all the way up to 1B because of that.

OP characters have demonstrated baffling gullibility but there is one flaw in this case. In order for Jack to be the 1 Billion man he must have at one point validated his claim via an actual bounty posted. Couple this with his reputation in the NW which would either suffer or be blighted as nothing more than a joke. Yet, his crew mates are pretty confident in their claim. Bounties update decline past 400 Million. This is to say you have to go above and beyond to recieve the same level of recognition. However, remember it bears a direct link to threat: civilian kills, catastrophic infrastructure distraction, sensitive information etc. Jack is part of a Trifecta dubbed the calamities (walking natural disaster) & has shown he is quick to acts of violence. His irrational act of attacking Fuji and co and sinking their ships signifies that he ain't no bluff.

It wouldnt be too crazy to assume that its true. Attacking and apparently downing 2 WG ships is a big feat, not to mention they had 2-3 admiral level marines on one of the ships, and Fuji, Sengoku, and Laundromat lady aint no joke. But beyond that Jack being deflected by one of the kings and slamed by another just means that the Minks aint no joke.
