Actually, one of them did the right thing. They tased him because he had a knife(I think) and was moving towards them. Then the rest ****ed up.

I was thinking this, then I rewatched it because I heard the "click" of the taser. The lady cop with the nice ass shot him with the taser first, which is what the clicking was(you can see the taser wire as he falls). If you listen closely, you can hear she shot him with the taser before the gunfire started.
