This has gotten too routine. You can even tell every time obama has to give another one of these post shooting speeches he hates how it's gotten accustomed to by us. Something's gotta give but the way out system works this shooting will do little in boosting efforts to stop violence. Wasn't it just a year ago we said we needed to do something about gun laws and look now after acouple mr or shootings and were in the same predicament.

There is nothing anyone can do to stop things like this from happening. No laws, surveillance, police officers, etc can stop someone who is determined to kill other people.

I doubt that. Laws do add a lot to a social climate.

There are way more law abiding gun owners than gun owners who are criminals.

There are 3 types of people when it comes to following laws:

1. Criminals who won't follow the laws no matter what
2. People who are on the fence about committing crimes.
3. People who would never commit crimes in the first place.

Laws usually only punish people in group 3 which is majority of society.

Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it. In previous corrupt governments, they always take away weapons from the people before creating a tyranny. Would you really leave your fate in the hands of a screwed up government like the US? The second amendment was specifically designed to protect citizens freedom against government.
