The same way they did Boruto and The Last without having finished the original series. lol None of that made sense, but it was still done.

Some were thinking it was just gonna be an announcement for Boruto being dubbed.

I think Shueisha's business practices are deplorable; they didn't inform Kishi that he had to wrap the manga up until the last arc was just starting - forcing him to cut back on Kaguya's personality and the battles, and their seeming constant waving of his contract in his face.

They needed chapter 700 to release prior to The Last to drive up the movie sales, but doing so made the final 15-20 chapters seem rushed in comparison to the previous pacing of the manga.
