1. Ribcage wasn't weakened by Liger Bomb. Liger Bomb was tanked with little damage.
2. That was the usual ribcage. The only ribcage that is thicker is EMS Sasuke and especially EMS Madara's ribcage.

Oh I was under the impression that it weakened it due to liger bomb seemingly being stronger than lateral chop seeing as it already snapped some ribs before the chop. I also did thought the thickness was off when looking at MS Itachi's compared to EMS Sasuke's

Ay's punch is stronger than his chop as well and I highly doubt Ay's usual punch being able to do that much damage to a Ribcage when liger bomb can't. So most likely the Ribcage being weakened?

Same as Sasuke's as MS. Only time EMS Sasuke showed a ribcage thicker and larger than usual is during the Juubito fight. Liger Bomb only cracked the ribs near the edges and it was only hit on the back, and that's not where Ay hit when he used his lateral chop. He broke Susanoo from the front. Not to mention lateral chop is far more focused than his Liger Bomb, which would explain it being able to penetrate, but Liger Bomb being unable to do so.
