Russians should not have entered Turkish airspace they were warned 10 times repeatedly but they ignored the warnings thinking the Turks don't have the guts to do it.
You enter someones territory you get shot down simple as that, it was Turkey's right to defend their airspace.

Lets be real here. Was this really about Russia entering Turkish airspace or was this really all about Russia's support of Assad?. The Turks hate Assad and hate that Russia is supporting Assad. They used this as an excuse to take a shoot at Russia for bombing Turkic ethic rebel groups in Syria.
