I'm 17 I'm 5 feet and 7 inches on the dot or 170cm

I weigh 124 pounds or 56 KG

How much weight would I have to gain to get taller ?

I heard that one inch is 10 pounds so I'm trying to see if I can 20 pounds in 3 months.
Hopefully this won't backfire and I end up fat instead lmao

Your height is predetermined by your genes. Other factors (such as gaining weight to get taller) have little to no affect on your predetermined height. Just like all of those 'these pills will increase your **** size' ads, this 'gain 10 pounds for 1 inch' nonsense has no merit. If anything it will work against you. Better short and fit than short and fat af.

Average male stops growing between 18 and 22. I don't believe gaining weight will help you grow; its more that getting taller makes you heavier. Basically if you are meant to be taller you will be and eating to gain weight will just make you fat while working out to gain muscle weight will just make you strong

Maybe a little bit, but not much. If you were gonna be tall you would have hit that already.

I see. I'm not sure what to believe yet

Well I'm not sure i think the reason I'm not growing because I'm too light
people tell me that I need some more fat and weight to grow

i am 21,185-187 cm big

hate to break it to ya, but you're pretty much done with height.

but if you wanna put on mass, hit the gym and Shovel protein. I put on 50 of muscle this year going to the gym every other day and 20-60g of protein every day. Plus keep your cal intake up. roughly 1400ish to start for your build and go from there.

Gaining weight has little to nothing to do with height. So you're screwed. Awkward Linguist said it best. Though, I have noticed a trend where fat kids get growth spurts and lose that weight, but that's normally at around 13-15 years old.

Don't worry though, I'm 18 and 168 cm. Wait, what am I saying? Don't worry? We're ******!

People usually stop growing taller between 18-20, some stop at around 20-21.

You'll probably get 1-2 inches taller before you stop. If you had wanted to get tall you should have ate and exercised a lot more during your growth spurt years

I am about 5'10"- 5'11", 179-180cm

gaining weight won't make you taller but fatter unless you turning those fat into muscle, males stop growing like around 21 and the only way to add few inches to your height is by doing stretching exercises like hanging from a bar, swimming, touching our toes e.t.c,look them up and eating lots of protein also helps in growing faster too.

OP, just eat healthy, exercise and sleep in moderation. Those are the only real options you have as most of your height is predetermined by genetics. You probably finished growing but if not those 3 things will help. Anything else is BS. Even stretching exercises only get you temporarily taller as you're only stretching out your spine, and it will eventually go back to its shape (it happens to astronauts too since they deal with less gravity).

The other option is to get surgery but it's crazy expensive and hurts like hell (the doctors have to break your legs). Plus, I doubt you wanna be that guy who got taller via surgery.
