Is 8 gate Guy the strongest ninja counting out SO6P ninja (Madara and Obito)

He merked on Madara and came close to killing him and that's an incredible feat considering it was a 1v1 spar. I'm having a struggle pondering this

Gai also has zero sensing feats I believe so anyone who can do chameleon style shit/hide their chakra can just outlast the 8th gate. Anyone that can be counter summoned also gets the **** out of dodge while Gai disintegrates.

Hell. Maybe even Ino could mind transfer while he opens gates :Sparks:

Also. Guy wouldn't have fatally touched Madara without Kakashi, Minato & Lee's help. :bdpf:

Sorry to piss on your bonfire...but all in all. The list of people that can win vs the 8th gate is quite large. I'm still probably missing more....

Edit: Adding Sasuke, Muu & Ohnoki. They could probably prep their jutsu while Guy opens gates.

Technically if Minato flees wouldn't that mean defeat? Clone fakes are useless if they're defeated and the OG user is defeated but I understand your point. Guy would be too fast for Kamui to completely take effect. Guy can destroy the clam as well but that's a battle scenario but he can.

Speed blitz and his strength can over power all/most of his opponents.

I would of said sasuke but guy fast and we've seen naruto react to s/t from kaguya and sasuke and you can't see s/t justu he can see guy .. I say no to sasuke because i dont think he would react fast enough and one hit prob will end it

Shadow clones, when dispersed, their chakra goes back to the original. So you can just rinse and repeat the diversions & hide underground or w/e. Gai can only fight in one direction too when it comes to large scale attacks, mainly.

If Minato flees, he lives to fight another day while his opponent turns to ash from activating the final gate.

Kamui can be used anytime. Even as he opens the gate.

He CAN destroy the clam but the chances aren't great given his time limit & his attack style.

Guy is not a sensor so he's not countering Sasuke's Ameno. Sasuke also has Susanoo for defense.

Obitos Kamui requires him to have hold or be close to the target- I'm pretty sure. I can't remember an example where it's been executed at a distance and I don't see Guy being a victim to that. Kakashi is a different story however, so that could happen.

Still possible and I feel the chances are in favor of Guy accomplishing it. Also in these situations Guy isn't going 8 gates immediately so that can benefit the opposition or Guy depending on the scenario

The OG user can be anywhere in a 360 around Guy plus up somewhere high, underground. Screw it. The original could flee with 12 or so clones in different directions and they can just spam more and more clones as the original flees the battlefield/gets counter summoned entirely.

If Minato flees, it's irrefutabely a win.

Obito can just send his body to the kamui dimension while Guy burns to death.

Best case scenario, Guy takes his opponent out with him. He can never win, physically with 8th gate in a 1V1 without Godly intervention afterward.

You're implying Obito had better reactions than Madara. The only one who maybe posed a real chance against 8 gates Guy would be minato or Tobirama and only thanks to FTG. Guy covered so much space so quick to get Madara, if he couldn't even react what makes you think people lower then him would?
