At least take a look at the active threads before making one. It's a pity that there was one thread posted over Paris bombing while half a dozen threads complaining about it or telling us why they do not have sympathy with it. Not that the original thread was spared with complaint posts.
It's not like anyone is downplaying the situation in Middle East because of lack of empathy. It's because the region is a war zone for several years and pretty complex with a lot of local politics and conflicts playing an important part in continuing. Still there have been many discussions about ISIS activities there. You could continue posting more about it or any other conflict instead of expecting others to do so.
To be very clear -I do NOT intend to undermine human suffering or troubles a person goes through in that region even a tiny bit. That's a human tragedy ongoing there. But it's really hard for others to take a side beyond when it's that hard to pin point the aggressor and the victims in many cases. Many people from there themselves prefer not to let regional conflict be discussed either when they are in a different country to avoid a clash of interests within.
