I love star wars and am excited for the new movie, but I have to admit im star trek>star wars.

Never seen a full Star Wars movie. Played a lego game for PS2, watched some of that one with Anakin vs Obiwan and the lava but that's about it. Looks cheesy.

Watched Episode 2 today. Hated every second with that horrible CGI'd basterd. Hoping he isn't in Episode 3 and if so can't wait to end it off and get to VI lol

Episode 4, 5, and 6 were the original Star Wars trilogy released in the 80s.

Episode 1, 2, and 3 were released in the late 90s/2000s as prequels to the original series.

Mr. Plinkett explains, quite thoroughly, in his review of the prequels as to why they were absolutely horrible - which is what my link above links to.

The prequels have become something of a taboo among star wars fans because they were actually that bad - from basic plot mechanics to character portrayal to continuity between the prequels and the original series.... it all pretty much sucked. Even some of the CGI was pushed well beyond its capability to make scenes that looked out of place or inappropriate.

Honestly, it's better to just watch 4, 5, and 6 because you get a sense for everything that happened in the prequels without having to be subjected to their stupidity or have your hopes/expectations destroyed.
