Elijah walks onto the designated area he was told to meet a student, who Dean had recently taught Earth. Dean spent quite some time with him, and said he was good, so Elijah took it upon himself to see if Dean was right. With him, Elijah carried several swords, and scrolls. Kenjutsu training wasn't in demand like Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, so it had been some time since he had done it last. He finally makes it towards his student. Elijah is clad in a normal black suit, with a blue shirt beneath, and a blue tie.
"Hello there, I am Elijah Ganmi. Today, we will indulge into swordsmanship, Kenjutsu or simply, swinging around a large metal blade. What do you know about Kenjutsu? Use copious amounts of detail, since that's what makes Kenjutsu so interesting."
Elijah says, as he smiles, and makes a joke.
"A man once told me, that lesson 1 of swordsmanship was, Stick 'em with the pointy end."

Keji smiles at the joke "You must be a friend of Dean's. Nice to meet you I'm Keji Kurai." Keji then takes a seat on the water as he thinks on what kenjutsu is. After a minute or two he stands back up and begins "In literal terms Kenjutsu is just a general name for one who studies the sword. While there are many different types of swords and different types of techniques to be used with each sword they all fall under kenjutsu. For example Land of Iron is nothing but samurai and so they study the art of the katana, but there are also various shinobi who also wield the katana but use different techniques. Then you have people of the Hidden Cloud who seem to use various different styles among them and even the Hidden Mist's Legendary Swordsman all practice different Kenjutsu styles suited to their sword. Now me personally I chose to use my ninja-to vs the common katana which means my style of ken jutsu will differ slightly to most."

Elijah watched intently as Keji explained. He was impressed, perhaps he'll be as good as a Kiri ninja that Dean had spoken about. Elijah grabbed a sword from his bag, and threw it towards Keji. He smiled, as he put his hands into his pockets, and looked towards his student.
"Alright, now, Kenjutsu is quite simple but requires detail to be effective. Now, my method is similar to Dean's, I will explain a technique to you and I want you to perform it, and then give me at least 2 advantages and disadvantages of the technique, and how you would use it in battle.
Now for the first technique, starts of by grabbing your sword in your dominant hand and dashing towards the opponent. Once close enough to the opponent, you will deliver a sequence of slashes, vertical and horizontal, either. This allows you some freedom, and you will then finish off the technique by delivering a lateral slash, dealing a large amount of damage to the opponent. Use it against my clone."

Keji catches the sword thrown to him and listens to what Elijah has to say with great detail. As Elijah creates a clone Keji grips his sword tilting it slightly backwards placing his off hand on the lower portion of the hilt as well(assuming it's a katana) and dashes towards the clone. Once the clone is within striking range Keji plants his right foot in front of him and begins to to pivot his hip bringing the sword up at an angle slashing the clone across the chest. He follows this up with a series of vertical and horizontal slashes and finally ends the assault with a lateral slash cutting the clone in two. As the clone disappears Keji relaxes his body and prepares for the verbal portion.
"An advantage of the initial sequence is that it bombards the opponent with slashes giving them very little time to react. It also hides the fatal later slash which is what you would ultimately want to land on the opponent as it could easily split them, sever a limb, or sever their head from their shoulders. Disadvantages of the techniques is that it seems to straight forward. If I or another experienced shinobi see a swordsman running at them head on we would more than likely halt their assault before they entered the required range. So in my cause I would probably distract my opponent with a minor jutsu as I dashed towards them."

Taking the same stance as he did with the previous technique Keji dashes towards the clone. Once in short range he briefly plants the sword in the ground and attacks the clone with a jab, cross, hook,uppercut, hook. The final hook causes the clone to spin slightly exposing his back and in this moment Keji grabs his sword and slashes the clone two times. One slashes is a horizontal slash at the lower back deep enough to sever the clones nerves to his legs and the diagonal slash at the bash of the neck severing the nervous system between brain and body. This causes the clone to fall down as it is no longer able to move any part of its body.
"Advantages. For one I like the sequence of punches it's quit helpful in hiding your next strikes. I also like the precision of the final two strikes allowing the user the ability to strike any vital or non-vital body part they like. Disadvantages I see is one while helpful you are essentially starting this attack with bare hand, so if your opponent is armed and quick to defend you will probably lose said hand. My second disadvantage is the same as the first initiating the assault is to straight forward so I would recommend a genjutsu like you said. Also if the majority of ken is straight forward dashing let me know and I will stop using it in my disadvantage portion."

Keji drops his sword and pulls two tanto from his bag. Reverse gripping one(one is held upside down) Keji dashes towards the four clones. Before they could even split from each another Keji jumps into the air doing a series of spins and slashes the throats of two of the four clones. Upon landing behind the other two he jumps and spins one more time severing the spinal cords of the other two clones.
"Advantages. One is that this technique gives you a omni directional range of attack. The second advantage for me would be the unpredictability of the assault as a non-dojutsu user more than likely wouldn't be able to predict your blades movements. Disadvantages I saw are one you would be constantly exposing your back to one or more enemies leaving your blind spot open. The second is the outreached arm's, if a skilled kenjutsu master or sharigan user saw this they could most likely time your spin and place their blade in the path of your arm causing you to cut it off with your next rotation."

"Very good, also take into account speed, rank and reaction. If a user far beyond you in one of those aspects sees you rushing towards them, it'd be easier for them to counter, since they'd be faster, and more suited to reacting. Anyway, here you go."

Now, dash towards the opponent and initiate a jump, with your sword in your dominant hand. You will then come down upon the opponent, and pint the sword downwards, aiming to drill into the opponent's skull, or shoulder, for example. It's a nice technique, but can also easily be countered, and put you in harm's way. Use it against my clone."

Now, dash towards the opponent and initiate a jump, with your sword in your dominant hand. You will then come down upon the opponent, and pint the sword downwards, aiming to drill into the opponent's skull, or shoulder, for example. It's a nice technique, but can also easily be countered, and put you in harm's way. Use it against my clone."

Keji drops his tanto and grabs the sword given to him earlier and dashes towards the clone. Just before the clone strikes at Keji creates a small pillar to launch him over the clone. In the air he does a small summer-salt above the clone, he then points his sword downward and increases his weight by 100x. This causes Keji to fall really quickly really hard piercing through and crushing the clone. Keji releases the jutsu and stands up in the small crater made from the drop.
"Advantages. If used in combination with other jutsu or a partner this makes for a great sneak attack. Unfortunately you pointed out that it is easily countered and puts me in harms way which I can completely understand. I would also like to point out that unless done with a sneak attack or distraction it would be hard to pull off when face to face with and opponent. Also I need a new sword this one is kinda of stuck in the ground." Keji smiles and begins to scratch his head.

As you reach the opponent, you will strike them with the handle of the sword, in order to stagger the opponent. This allows you to deliver several punches and kicks, which ultimately hits the opponent into the air, and forward. Whilst the opponent travels through the air, you will dash directly forwards, towards the area the opponent is about to land. You will intercept the opponent, as they fall, and punch said opponent into a nearby obstacle or part of the terrain, like a tree or boulder. Use it against my clone."

As the clone appears Keji sheaths his blade and dashes towards the clone. Once in range Keji strikes the clone under the jaw knocking his head up. As the clone now faces the sky Keji plants his his sword in the ground using it as a type of crutch to aid him in bicycle kicking the clone up and forward. As the clone flies through the air Keji dashes to his predicted landing spot. Right before the clone lands Keji punches it but only after adding some force and weight to his punch with Doton: Chō Kajūgan no Jutsu sending the flying into a stone pillar.
"Advantages. This technique is my favorite by far, it has multiple blind side attacks and leaves very little room for the enemy to counter. I also like that it can be easily combined with other jutsu for added effects. Disadvantages I can't really see one unless you use it against an opponent that can use S/T jutsu or fly. Actually there are some kekai genki that may prove difficult."

"It's pretty easy predicting a frontward assault, and take counter measures. Some opponents are built to be nigh impossible to fight in close range. Anyway, good job. Here you go."

One the clone spawns Keji takes off towards it while channeling chakra into his blade. Meeting each another in short range Keji deliveries and upward slash knocking the clone semi off balance. Seeing his chance Keji jumps into the air and slams himself back down slashing and drilling his sword into the clone.
"Advantages well you pretty much told me the advantages to this technique but like the first jumping assault if timed well you can combine with other jutsu. Disadvantage wise I would worry about dojutsu users as they would see you channeling chakra into the blade and expect and assault. I would also watch out for doton users as it has defenses for many CQC attacks. Domu for example."

The clone appears and starts to run towards Keji but instead of dashing towards the clone Keji wait's and channels chakra into his sword. Once the clone enter mid range Keji slashes from diagonally from right shoulder to left leg, releasing a red chakra blade from his sword. The blade hits the clone cutting through it and causing it to disappear.
"Advantage. This is the first Ken technique that can be used outside of close range allowing the swordsman to be multi functional in a team dynamic. It is like you said fast but you can also partilly predict the enemies movements to dodge the attack giving you the upper hand on next move. I don't really see a disadvantage for this since it is a quick mid range attack so even if your opponent dodges, blocks, or deflects the jutsu they still would have to close in on you."

The sword would start to radiate and chirp, showcasing Chidori's effect on it, plus making it capable of even cutting through steel. If a person is struck whilst the sword is enhanced by the Chidori, their body becomes numb. A free technique, where you can channel Chidori into your sword, and then perform any combination of free form movement, with an enhanced blade. Use it against my clone."

Keji smiles as he draws his sword and as the clone appears Keji takes off towards it. Once practically face to face the clone slashes downwards at Keji but to counter Keji channels chidori into his blade and slashes upwards. This cuts the clones blade in two leaving it defenseless as Keji brings his sword back downwards slashing the clone in the chest while at the same time paralyzing the clone causing it to disappear.
"Advantages to this technique is basically that you apply all the benefits of chidori to your sword. This makes it so that your opponent has to either counter you with mid-long range jutsu or varying raiton techs. I don't see a disadvantage besides jutsu because if used in a near pure ken battle like we are now the only way to counter would be another chidori blade."
