[Question] How good is Claymore?

Depending on most of the answers I get, I might buy the manga boxset that comes with the entire series which is a great deal btw.

Claymore is one of my favourite Mangas. Some people criticise it by saying that one/two of the characters are mary sues, and that it focuses too much on the antagonist, but I personally really like it. Definitely worth the read. Dunno how much more I can say without spoiling it for you tbh.

It's about a group of young women who have demon organs placed in them as children by a group called the Organization in order to hunt demons around their land in exchange for gold. It follows the story of young girl named Clair and how she became a Claymore (the name given to these half human half demons)

I can't really tell you more than that without giving away too much.

If you've ever read the Berserk Manga, this is like that but with female protagonists. It's just as bloody and gory and violent with a great story and memorable characters. Should give it a read.

Focuses on the antagonist too much? Sounds like a plus to me personally and from what I've seen, the art is fantastic as well.

Anime is older but is very nicely done tbh

Oh, trust us when we say this is a 9/10 manga. The only let down to me was that open ending and a bunch of newly introduced claymores near the end of the manga and they all looked derived from other main antagonists.
