A green-blue liquid begins seeping out from the earth around where his student paces. The thick liquid clumps together, packing itself in order to grow upwards. Eventually, a humanoid figure stands upon the earth. The foam condenses and finally reveals an aged, muscular Uchiha elder. Chaikoka locates a flat rock large enough for the pair to sit upon and gestures you over. "Come... sit and we will begin your journey.."

Description:
One of the Three Great Dōjutsu (San Daidōjutsu), the Sharingan is the kekkei genkai of the Uchiha clan. Unlike the other Dōjutsu, not all members of the Uchiha Clan possess the Sharingan. This great Dōjutsu seems to awaken only on exceptional Uchiha members and only in times of great stress. Once awaken, the pupil turns red and a single tomoe (巴) seal appears around the center pupil. As the user masters and evolves their eyes, the tomoe (巴) seals increase, topping 3 per eye. The main ability of the Sharingan, like any other Dōjutsu, is to enable the user to see the flow of chakra. This ability is further improved as the Sharingan gives color to chakra, enabling the user to differentiate chakras from different people or from different sources. Although the user can see chakra through matter, he cannot see beyond dense matter or in long distances. Coupled with the ability to see chakra, Sharingan users gain acess to an incredible clarity of perception that enables them to read insanely fast movements or minor details, enabling them the ability to foresee in an easier way, traps, incoming attacks, etc. This clarity of perception is so great that a Sharingan user can sometimes start performing a counter to an attack that is still being performed, enabling the counter to be launched only a split a second after the attack. This clarity of perception leaves Sharingan users able to track high speed movement easily as well as to read through handseals. This last ability enables them to learn techniques much faster and sometimes copy them directly from the enemy, as long as the user has the necessary chakra affinities and requirements to perform it. Finally, the Sharingan is often linked to Genjutsu and mind-manipulating illusions, mostly because the user can, mostly through Eye Contact, directly and precisely use his chakra to manipulate the enemy's chakra flow. In return, the users clarity of perception gives him the ability to more easily decipher visual illusions cast upon him and see past them. The Sharingan has a great cost to the user though. The chakra consumption disables its use for long periods of time and, even when the user grows stronger, it's still hard to keep it active for long periods of time.
Note: The user, if he hasn't gained full mastery over his Sharingan, will need to spend a move to activate it, although as long as he has chakra and enough stamina he'll be able to keep it active until the end of the match. If the user is Sannin Rank or above and has gained his 3 Tomoe Sharingan and held it for one month, he becomes able to passively activate it, meaning he'll no longer spend a move of his 3 per turn.
Note: To avoid direct Eye Contact and be able to focus only on the body movement below the chin, the opponent needs to have mastered Taijutsu to possess the necessary skill.
Note: Predicting the nature of a technique or what it exactly is requires the user to either know the technique or that its a cannon technique.
Note: Danzo and Kakashi bios activate the Sharingan by removing the covers in their respective eyes and suffer a +10 chakra consumption per turn penalty

The Sharingan is one of the three great doujutsu along with the Byakugan and the Rinnegan. The Sharingan is different than these two in many ways, just like those two are different from each other. The Sharingan has 3 basic stages, then 2 (or three depending on how you look at it) advanced stages. The first stage takes the appearance of a single black tomoe on a blood red eye. The second is with two tomoes, and the third with three. The three advances stages are the Mongekyou, the Eternal Mongekyou, and one of the other great three doujutsu, the Rinnegan (though only a very select few have ever reached the later two advanced versions). The sharingan can tell who's chakra said chakra belongs to, cast genjutsu, increase tracking abilities (increases throughout the stages), copy techniques, and see if others are in a genjutsu. The two Mongekyou versions unlock other abilities like Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and on very rare occasions, the Susano (but on NB that's only for cannon characters). The Susano is a manifestation of the user's chakra which acts almost like a machine which the user can use to attack or defend. In the first advances stage of the sharingan (the Mongekyou sharingan), the user will lose their vision through the use of it and it's abilities over time. To activate the sharingan, an Uchiha must experience a moment of such utter despair that it is enough basically mess up a person for life/ threaten their life/ cause such an extremely intense emotion of sadness, panic, or anger.

1 Tomoe Sharingan: It allows the user to perceive motions and see chakra. The user's pupil turns bloody red, and gains an extra pupil, or tomoe within each eye that will surround the original, centered pupil. When active the user now has the ability to track speeds that would only be seen by a higher ranked, more experienced ninja. They also gain the ability to see through visual D rank genjutsu (visual illusions) and can follow the movement of most taijutsu moves done by normal Shinobi, even those faster than the user and the movement of most Ninjutsu, allowing one to be able to react best to the situation.
2 Tomoe Sharingan: It allows the user to perceive motions as well as be able to copy the motions perceived as long as he is able to perform them physically. When activated the user's eyes turn blood red, and gain two extra pupils, the tomoe which surrounds the original pupil. At this level the user gains a better understanding of the sharingan. The user can now anticipate and analyze faster movement, as well as mimic minor movements made by an opponent. The user can now track higher speeds (almost twice as fast) and, by reading the handseals, can predict to some extent the use of Ninjutsu techniques (but will always obey and abide by the time frame rule as he can never start performing a counter/move before the opponent has started his, meaning that there will always be a logical sequence of moves that will obey the time frame). The user is now able to pierce through visual C rank genjutsu and below.
3 Tomoe Sharingan: This is type of Sharingan has 3 tomoe. It allows the user to perceive motions, copy the motions perceived, and predict motions. When active the user now has the ability to keep up with extremely high speeds and mimic basic taijutsu exactly. With this the user can now copy handseals done by an opponent (using the adequate Copy Technique), and use jutsus as they do as long as he's able to perform them (having the adequate chakra nature, adequate knowledge of the field of expertise being copied, etc). The user must however be able to mimic the techniques, for if they are not physically able to preform the copied techniques they cannot do them. The user can now pierce through visual B rank genjutsu and below. Unlike the previous two sharingan stages this level has the ability to hypnotize a target. If however the target is too strong the hypnotizing with be ineffective. This can only be done on targets one rank below the user and through eye contact.
Mangekyo Sharingan: The appearance of the pupil drastically changes, differening from the normal tomoe seals, with the MS's shape differing from user to user. When active the user can track speeds even further beyond that of the third stage sharingan. The timing of the users counters, the chaining speed of multiple techniques and the ability to see through the enemy's moves greatly increases. Not only that but the user gains the ability to see through visual genjutsu A rank and below. The link to Genjutsu is further increased and, if the user has gained full mastery over Genjutsu, he gains the ability to cast any and every genjutsu without the need for Handseals through simple eye contact. Also, the Mangekyo Sharingan gives the user access to powerful and forbidden techniques, unique to each user.
Eternal mangekyo Sharingan: The appearance of the pupil drastically changes, differing from the users original MS pupil and takes on the shape that combines both his and his brothers MS pupils. When active the user can track speeds even further beyond that of the MS. The timing of the users counters, the chaining speed of multiple techniques and the ability to see through the enemy's moves greatly increase even beyond the levels of MS. Not only that but the user gains the ability to see through visual genjutsu A rank and below. The link to Genjutsu is further increased and, if the user has gained full mastery over Genjutsu, he gains the ability to cast any and every genjutsu without the need for Handseals as long as he has a clear line of sight to the target. Also, the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan gives the user access to the same powerful and forbidden techniques availabe to the user through his MS and even some additional ones.

As you begin to speak about the two tomoe Sharingan, Chaikoka cuts you off. "Your knowledge about the first stage is all that is required for now.. However, I want to expand upon the first stage's tracking ability. Chaikoka shifts his body and begins to stand up, motioning for you to do the same. "The Sharingan allows you to track high speeds and intricate movements, that is correct. But, there is a difference between tracking and reacting." He then raises his arms in front of him, clenching his fists in a fighting stance. "Strike me in the chest."

Itachi stands up, and then raises both of his arms in shoulder level with clenched fists, getting ready to attack. And, then suddenly runs forward and delivers two continuous punches aiming at his master's chest.

Chaikoka easily moves his arms, unclenching his fists and catching both of the strikes before they could land. ""The difference in our power is great, so I am able to track and then respond to your punches. But let us imagine you possess a strength and speed far greater than my own.." Chaikoka resets, and then waves his hand to signal that you should attack him once more.

When you jump sideways, Chaikoka is slow to react. He is able to watch your movements in fine detail, but his own body is delayed in its response. Before he is able to turn his body to face you so he is able to block your strikes, the punch strikes Chaikoka in the waist. Afterward, he looks up towards you, smiling. "What I just showed you is a great weakness of our clan's ability. Although I was able to read your movement, my body was not trained enough to be able to react. There is the difference. The Sharingan grants you great tracking ability but does not improve upon your own physical capabilities. Understood?"

His eyes narrow and his tone becomes deadly serious. "Anyway, the method of activating your Sharingan is a brutal one. There is no guarantee you even have the capability. Are you willing to take the risk?"

Before you are able to finish your sentence, Chaikoka vanishes in a burst of speed. He covers the short distance between him and you, proceeding to smash his palm into your right shoulder. "Do not forget.. you chose this path." With the lightning flowing through you, you are dazed from the attack. Continuing, he pulls back his body and performs a vertical kick with his right leg, smashing into your jaw and sending you rocketing upward.

Chaikoka bursts off from the ground and appears high in the sky above you. As your injured body rises to meet him, he removes a katana from his side and plunges it into the area between your chest and shoulder. Using his Sharingan, he fully impales you in a non-lethal spot that is free of any major veins/arteries. The strike is clean and quick. The sword is sheathed directly after.

Itachi first could not understand anything when sensei appeared right in front him and before he could move to talk, he could not feel his right arm and even before he could understand, he feels a tremendous pain in his jaws and the next thing he sees is that he is flying up in the sky. He, then sees his sensei appearing above him and drilling his sword in his shoulder. As, Itachi thrashes down on the earth, he cannot think correctly. All, he sees is pain and death crawling over him. Tears from his eyes drop out and then he feels sad that he will not be able to see his famiy again. All his dreams breaking away.........and then he thinks, that he cannot die, for the sake of his brother. He cannot die, and while thinking so, he gains anger towards his sensei and he starts to become very angry.........His pain is encouraging his anger. And, then he tries to move his right hand but its useless attempt. He tries to look at his sensei standing beside him and tries to speak up, but blood is suffocating him.

Chaikoka wonders if he went too far with this one. Alas, there still was no sign of the Sharingan. So not far enough? He removes a katana from his hip once more, and places the point of it against the base of Itachi's neck. "I suggest awakening your Sharingan.. otherwise this sword point will be entering your neck.." He then pulls his arm backwards, tensing, ready to strike. With the boy's already sustained injuries, the strike could easily end his life.
