If they made it there initially before Asuma's death.

There would be absolutely no intel on them. They would wreck havoc.

If they made it there after Asuma's death, Konoha is more cautious, and unless they're retarded Naruto is protected.

I don't know they are a huge monster duo, but im sure team Guy would give them some hard time, the same with Pain when he attacked Konoha, I believe Kishi didn't envolve them on this fights cause either they would win, or do some great dmg.

They would do 'some' damage, but still get negged worse than when they fought Kakashi and co.

No intel=massacre. It was already hard enough to fight with limited intel, but fighting blind? They might have been able to do what Nagato did, but on a lower scale. Nagato blew up the village, so take that out, and there you go.

In scenario 1, Asuma already beat Hidan (before Kakuzu's intervention) so definitely a combo of someone like Neji and Asuma will wreck him. The problem is Kakuzu, though he loses too (I don't see him beating guy and Kakashi's combo), even if he does Tsunade takes him high diff (he specialises in elemental jutsus and through out shipudden no body died from any kinda elemental jutsu, and if you believe in the Diamond skin hype then you believe the databook which also states Tsunade has lighting techniques).

Well it's the whole village so you can add Shikamaru to the list of people that'll fight Hidan.
If they are the ones "ambushing" I only see a couple of fodders die, and in an extreme scenario (Kamui and 8th gate still wrecks) I seriously don't see this team doing much against a village, Sasori and Deidara will do much more (poison and explosion).

I think Hidan's ability is one of the finest! but he has no brain at all. but still I am hoping that one day he'll gonna show up again coz he still alive actually..
