Why do we assume that if Alien life did exist and they had superior technology than us, that they would wipe us out. Where the logic of wiping out a race,Is it because we as Humans are afraid of not having power and authority?

Since we have nukes they might have anti matter bombs. Which is a step up to nukes. GG earth either way.

Unless there are certain materials here that are scarce elsewhere (Since they are so advanced to get here i would guess this scarce material is either a commodity or an impending endangered resource where they reside.)I doubt they would even bother coming to our planet.

There are so many reasons to think why would they do that?
Like above implied they might be looking for resources or a place. If they are that advanced to travel long distance in space, they are far far advanced than us then resources might not be problem for them. But what do you as a human do to ants when you see them?

If they can travel the distance in space then probably they must've advanced technology .

for example our civilization advanced in technology in last 200-300 years and space technology advanced in last 6-7 decades but how many spaceships we have sent out of our solar system countable by your fingers right ?

then if you consider these Alians had technology for thousand of thousands of years then probably they might've advanced weaponary unless they just outgrew from the violence ( if so then they will observe us never making a contact with any of us humans )
