Basic Information Name: Atem Nickname: Pharaoh Gender: Male Age: Unknown Clan: None | Appearance Atem is a young-looking male with highly exaggerated spiked up hair and a relatively thin yet lean figure with a deep light golden tan. His usual attire consists of traditional Egyptian wardrobe akin to that of a Pharaoh or high noble figure. The most notable trait Atem has is his hair. His extremely extravagant hair features multiple layers including long blond crooked, pointy locks for his fringe; the rest features a set of five large spikes and two smaller spikes colored black with a magenta sheen along the edges. Additionally, there is a strike of blond hair that is point upwards in front of the central spike of hair. His eyes are narrow with an intense, determined gaze. His other facial figures are quite defined, having a relatively pointed chin and strong jawline. His eyes are deep purple, darker than the shade of magenta his hair has. Atem's wardrobe consists of several golden accessories upon a traditional Egyptian robe attire. These include a golden collar wrapped around his neck, two golden armbands worn beneath his shoulders, two stylized golden wristbands (unlike the simple band design of the other accessories), and two golden bands that go along each of his shins. Additionally, he has a golden band worn as a belt upon his waist over his robe. His robe is solely beige colored, with a large blue cloth that begins below the belt. This pointed-end blue cloth extends down to the bottom of the beige robe. He wears a crown, with the eye of Wdjat (a common theme depicted in Egyptian culture) covering his forehead, in a similar manner to how Village Forehead Protectors are placed. The crown has two golden "wings" that go in front of the two spikes of hair that are adjacent to the central spike. Atem also wears a large purple cape that goes down to his ankles. The cape is placed around the neck, covering his upper pectorals from being seen. Below this cape, a special item handed down from his father, the Millennium Puzzle, is worn. It is held by a single line of wool that is worn like a necklace. The actual item is a golden upside down pyramid, which shows the same Eye of Wdjat appearance as the one on his crown, though with a few additional traits. True to it's name, the Millennium Puzzle shows several jagged lines, indicating how the piece was actually formed like a puzzle. Personality Next in-line to become Pharaoh, Atem was raised for perfection from birth. He was a scholar, studying in many fields. These ranged from the use of chakra to philosophy. This was a joy for him, as he loved to research and amass new knowledge on any field, especially ninjutsu and techniques and discoveries associated with it. However, Atem was not raised to be only a scholar, An equal amount of time was spent being crafted into the ultimate warrior, studying battle strategies and honing his skill with different weaponry. Both were made easy by his high intellect and his love for knowledge, as well as the joy he found in battle. His upbringing had caused him to become a perfectonist, needing to be the best in whatever he did which has served him well as a drive to accomplish many things others could not. Atem also seems to have matured beyond his years as a result of his strict upbringing, that and his pride seems to be held above all with few exceptions. Atem also seems to have a problem taking orders from anyone and usually assumes the role of leader as he still sees himself as a pharaoh and refuses to be treated any other way. Now having been unsealed in the present day Ninja World, not much has changed but his lack of understanding of the new terms and colloquial conversation and other present day phrases, which seem to annoy him more then anything else. While Atem's Personality remains the same, his goals have changed since having been unsealed. His current number one priority is to rediscover his identity and recover his erased memories. |

Background Information | History |
 The Ancient Civilization Long before the 5 great nations, when wide spread chakra was still young a few hundred years after the passing of the Sage, there existed a Middle-Eastern civilization ahead of its time, known as the Ancient Egyptians. The Egyptians were fascinated by chakra and sought to experiment in it and its potential uses, and thus they researched it for many years. The Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt believed that chakra was meant for unity but saw the potential harm it could bring, and decreed that the use of chakra were to be permitted only by village officials of his choosing. His brother, however, was blinded by power and saw that by harnessing the power of chakra, they could make Egypt into the greatest military power ever seen. This difference in views led to a split of the civilization, with The Pharaoh's brother gathering supporters and rebelling against his older brother, only to be defeated swiftly. The Pharaoh, however, was a kind man and couldn't bring himself to hurt his younger brother, so he let him and his supporters leave Ancient Egypt unharmed and flee to the mountains. For a time, Ancient Egypt remained peaceful in their absence but the old pharaoh knew it wouldn't last for long. And so, he devoted the rest of his time to teaching and training his only son and heir, Atem, for the day in which he would take his place as Pharaoh of Egypt. Years passed and Atem grew wiser and stronger and all was well until his fathers passing. Atem, now destined to take the throne, was made Pharaoh of Egypt. His coronation happened to coincide on the same day his uncle and his followers would raid the village. Egypt was in a state of turmoil, as they were no match for the chakra-using army invading them. Only Pharaoh Atem and his council were adept enough to stand up to the invaders. They battled fiercely, but ultimately, the council fell and only Pharaoh Atem remained. Realizing there was no way to overcome the brute strength of his Uncle's army, Atem sacrificed himself in order to preserve his village and save his people by using a technique that he learned from his late father, taught to him for the time in which such an event would occur. Pharaoh Atem used the technique to vanquish all evil to another dimension with a secret phrase as the lock to the dimension. The phrase was his name, "Atem". Ordering his council to get rid of all traces of his identity, Atem would proceed in paying the price for the technique. He would be sealed not in another dimension, but in a simple golden puzzle. But before doing so, he made sure to have his council erase all his memories after being sealed to ensure that even if he were to be released from the Puzzle, that not even he would be able to unlock the dimension where the corrupted army lay. The orders were followed and with time even the council had forgotten his name, and all of Egypt would forever remember him as the Nameless Pharaoh. 5 Hundred Years Later Five hundred years later, Atem would be released from the Millennium Puzzle into the modern ninja world with minimal knowledge of himself and his past, knowing only that he was a Pharaoh who was sealed in the puzzle but clueless on how or why. Now the future for the young Pharaoh is unclear as he tries to tries to uncover the past and who he truly is while exploring the modern world. Other Ancient Chakra Having been born at the time when chakra was seen as a new luxury, Atem had a deep respect for his chakra. A testament to his worthiness as a Pharaoh, Atem possesses bold golden chakra. The golden color is a specific trait found within the lineage of royal family of Ancient Egypt. It was deemed to be the most pure type of chakra, as well as depicting the overwhelming pride and confidence of the Pharaoh. Most importantly, the ancient people recognized it as a sense of divinity, due to it's brilliant appearance. (This is purely cosmetic) Intellect and Eidetic Memory Atem's intellect far surpasses ordinary ninja. He is able to come up with complicated plans and deduce the mechanics of a technique in a matter of seconds, as well as predict his opponents actions/thoughts by analyzing their skill-set, behavior, and personality. Atem was born with an Eidetic memory able to recall images, sounds, or objects in memory after only a few instances of exposure, with astounding precision, which is ironic considering his recent memory loss. He is able to remember such things like pages from books, techniques, scenery and people down to minuscule details with great ease. Atem's intellect, coupled with his Eidetic Memory, make him a force to be reckoned with in battle, as well as a top of the line scholar and researcher. Pictures
