*I considered Base, but settled on him not having the chakra to compete with Chakra spores, the speed to dodge Orochimaru and Hiruzen or the Destructive Capability to crush the Hydra Clones

One thing people aren't accounting for is that Orochimaru can make perfect clones of himself, which can all go into Hydra mode, The Ryuuchi Snakes, and Minato having no counter to Bringer of Darkness and Orochimaru being able to place chakra sucking spores rendering him able to play cat and mouse longer than Minato.

You misunderstood. He doesn't have the speed to simultaneously dodge Orochimaru and Hiruzen during retain attacks. I meant to convey that a jutsu like Shadow Clone Shuriken would leave him easily accessible to be hit, thus, even when he dodges, he doesn't dodge.
