Shikamaru didn't really want this mission. All he wanted to do was sip some tea and lay down on grass to look and envy freely floating clouds. But then again he didn't really have any choice. He knew how much pain it would be to anger the fifth hokage of the leaf. So in short his mission was to accompany the Gaara of sand to village hidden in Grass, and help him in any manner required. This was an important mission for alliance between sand and leaf. But to shikamaru's dismay Gaara wanted to meet Naruto instead of him. Mission got off to a rocky start, but it all took a worse turn when shikamaru argued a little with Gaara. This made Gaara really angry......

Well gaara trying to meet naruto to hang out but you got in my way so gaara claps his make sand comes around him just standing there waiting for you to do some that will make gaara even madder then gaara waits for you

Well since the cat was already out of bag, Shikamaru knew he had no choice but to fight. So, Shikamaru immediately performs the snake hand seal and creates a large volume of water from his mouth spilling it toward the ground and lifting him up into the air. Shikamaru rode the wave for just a moment before jumping off of it backwards. While jumping shikamaru performs a single hand seal and makes a lightning blade in his hands. Then he splits it into two and releases all this lightning into the water wave traveling towards Gaara.

Shikamaru knew quite well about gaara's past now that sand and leaf were allied so he performs two hand seals and put Gaara under a genjutsu to show him his worst fear. First a swirl of leaves surrounds gaara before disappearing. After that Gaara is showed that his own sister is trying to kill him, telling him that he is useless and should be killed for the people of sand village. She stabs him in the heart and blood sprouts out of his chest making gaara feel a deep pshcotic trauma.

Well notice he in a Genjustu his sand immediately react pulling s kunai out and stabbing him gaara sees the water and lighting coming toward gaara make a cloud and hope ln it flying up in the sky but gaara don't like you getting copy so he make a wave of sand going toward you Then gaara claps his together and make too pillars of sand coming from both direction killing you
