Not acknowledges, recognises. When somebody acknowledges a person, it meets they have notable qualities that they accept exist.

Kishi either sat there watching the videos not understanding anything, since there's no JP autosubs on YT and he doesn't speak Japanese. Or a lot less likely, got them translated.

I think he's better off not understanding though tbh; those YT reviewers aren't worth a rupee.
