[PS4] Why does Dragon Ball XV have less Characters?

I bought the game about 3 days ago and now I only have to unlock Vegito and some GT characters and that's it.
Why did they add only a few characters? Hell they didn't even Freeza's 2nd and 3rd form. They didn't even add Mecha Freeza or even Cell form 1&2.

Lmao I remember a game called Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and that had loads of characters!

BT 3 is still the beat dragonball z game ever. Bt2 was good in it's own way too, I still remember that black Gogeta ssj4, good times.

Idc if it was cannon, but in the game ssj4 gogeta was one of the best fighter and had cool moves/design- especially fun in dragon war and one vs five etc game modes, there is always the rest of the sagas though, gt saga was only one of those in story mode.

Well tbh I didn't even know gt was non cannon at time of playing it, I found the character interesting and got my story via the game- so most complaints about gt didn't apply. Then it turns out gt isn't actually cannon and watched some episodes and gt etc, but I still can't deny that those weren't fun characters/fighters in game on their own, irregarding dbz entirely at that time, that's all there is to it.

i honestly don't like the whole "canon" vs "non-canon" system...

if a original designer trusts someone enough to authorize them to market and design their character (s), then it should be automatically canon unless the creator retcons. I've heard no official declaration of him "hating" GT... hell, i hear he even designed SSj4...

So although i don't like it quite as much as the core series, i still respect and appreciate it as if it were canon.

Much better system than past DBZ games. Im a huge tenkaichi fan, but Xenoverse they put effort into this things gameplay. Not just copy paste characters with different skins.
