i hate how i saw this today after just buying a 3ds yesterday lol.. i got maybe 1 good year and it will be obsolete :-/
Nintendo should go back to cartridges
That is actually a possibility :| one of the patents they filed was for a console with no optical drive, and with flash memory cost lowering returning to cartridges isn't a farfetched idea
It isn't. They hold more, there more durable, they load faster. And if the architecture allows for it it would take most of the work off the system itself. Devs have less leeway to complain about the console(as a whole in comparison to PC) being weak. Which had been the argument as of late.
The only thing would be, it being too late, given the push for all digital.
For Nintendo going all digital would kinda be like shooting itself in the arm. A lot of their sales come from Japan and in Japan digital releases are no where near as popular there as it is in the US.
Not to mention it would be neglecting all of those that Done have access to an Internet connection
Understandable. But its becoming more and more clear that all digital is going to be the future. Maybe in the generation after teh next one.
