What if I told you its impossible for a fly to fly that fast?

it's simple mechanics if you're in a car and the car is travelling 90 m/ph your speed will also be the same therefore the fly is also travelling at 90 m/ph

The guy isn't in mid air, and if the seat wasn't there he'd fly to the back of the car. So you're wrong.

Then why do we go back in our seat if were travelling at the same speed? Cause were not.

Air resistance is happening outside of the car not in it.

No, not that right there, cause is the guy in mid air? Nope.

You don't get it, it's the car that is moving at 90 mph not its passengers. The passengers are affected by the car's velocity but they themselves(the man and the fly) don't move any faster than they were moving before.

Saying that the fly travels as fast or faster than the car which travels at 90 mph is like saying that a stationary individual is constantly moving at a velocity of 1040 mph because the earth(which we occupy) spins at that speed.

Then why do we go back in our seat if were travelling at the same speed? Cause were not.

We move back due to change from a state of rest to a state of motion. Acceleration(rate of change in velocity) is what causes this. Notice that this doesn't happen if a vehicle is moving at a constant speed.

The car is yes moving at 90 mph. However, the fly itself won't be, due to the fact it can't even reach that high of a speed. XD

Just like humans can't reach anything near that speed.

Right, so why doesn't it just hit the back window?

the air also has the same velocity thats why the fly can keep up.
