Orochimaru will eventually get him with his poison. Sand Tsunami or any offensive sand attacks are either tanked or are blocked by Rashomon. Manda is also there to help. Also Orochimaru's Earth Release: Hiding like a Mole can get him to be right next to Gaara and then he uses his true form to poison Gaara. Or Stab him repeatedly with Kusanagi.

You cant bury Manda he can simply slither right out of the sand's control. Manda was tunneling through solid rock getting out of broken down rock is much easier.

Oro can also slither out of smaller amounts of sand.

Gaara would never get him in the air like that since he would slither out of any sand Gaara is controlling.

Also seeing as how Manda's body was not completely destroyed by C0 I would say it would be very hard to crush Manda.
