I guess Ace wins with extreme diff.

Vergo should out match Ace in CQC and since Ace seems like the type to be over reliant on his DF he would probably get the Smoker treatment if not worse considering at least Smoker showed the Haki to hold his own. But I feel like if Ace keeps his distance and just unloads with a Variety of fire attacks he can win.

There's also the island level Entei I doubt Vergo can avoid.

I find it hard to talk about ace fights because we don't know his haki ability. I can't imagine how he'd have no CoO or CoA. If we go by what we 100% factually know...Vergo could probably win at max diff because haki. If I assume Ace has haki comparable to at least...Sanji let's say, then Ace wins high diff.

Bounty doesn't correlate with strength, Ace was second in Command on a Yonko ship and the Pirate kings son. But I agree on the portrayal part, Ace wasn't treated fairly at all. How is the second in command of WBs crew not going to have Haki?

Ace just appeared at the wrong time, a time where Oda was probably just thinking about how Haki works.

Well that was kings Haki, CoA and CoO could have been thought about later. Idk, I just find it dumb that Ace has not one Haki feat outside of CoC.

The second in command under WB fought many battles in the NW not ever needing to have it? Oda dropped the ball with Ace no doubt.

I'd say Vergo would win this, let me explain.

While I agree Ace has far greater fire power than Vergo Ace is the type of fighter who likes to attack from close range take Ace vs Akainu for example. This would be Ace's downfall in my opinion as Vergo is a monster in close range fighting and his haki would tear Ace apart.

Vergo beat Smoker who in my opinion is equal if not slightly stronger than Ace was, not to mention Vergo crushed Sanji who I honestly don't think is that much weaker than Smoker.
