It's not black and white or clear cut, that is your opinion.

It really is clear cut.

How many instances are there of Sasuke spending time with Sarada and his family compared to Sasuke?

Naruto:

I mean if you want to ignore the 8 or so years Naruto spent providing for his family and spending time with them, maybe then you can compare the two.

The polls are decisive.

1) You missed my edit.

2) Notice how all of those nice family pics are in movies made by SP, these are people that love Hinata and NH and made them a movie, of course they will give them as much fan service and neglect the other family.

Kishi however did make a theme out of the strong bond in Sasuke's family and their love that covers any distance.

That happened all in a day or two.

I guess that one day amounts to Naruto's 12+ years he spent amirite?

I get the theme of the gaiden but that in no way makes Sasuke in the same league of Naruto in being a father.

Secondly: That wasn't just SP. Kishimoto had a heavy hand in the movie. Don't act as if SP was giving Naruto's family courtesy when it was the author himself as well.

You missed the point of my post, their love for each other was not just present for 1 day, it was always there even when they were apart, did you even see those panels let alone read them?

There is a panel of Sasuke helping Sarada walk when she was a baby, and you have no idea how long Sasuke stayed before leaving again at the end of Gaiden. We saw them share a meal, and make another family portrait.

I'm not saying it is better than "Naruto's 12+ years", They are both loving fathers under different circumstances, 1 is a busy Hokage in the village, while the other traveled dimensions away from the village.

Now that Sasuke is back, he will have more time for pics. :|

Let's see.

Naruto - Has been there for both Boruto and Himawari since their birth. The Uzumaki household in the Boruto Movie is consumed with photographs of the entire family (all the way back to Naruto/Hinata at 19 with their orange sweater and purple skirt outfits from the Last) dating, pictures of the Boruto/Himawari as babies, family pictures we haven't seen, single shots with parents, and a lot more.

Clearly Naruto was an amazing father, you even see that at the end of the Last. The problem started when he became Hokage, and he had to priortize the village, which mean they had to face struggles. Though he always tried his best as a dad. If he could not make it personally (since it was stated multiple times that being the Hokage meant not taking any shortcuts, which means he wouldn't allow the shadow clone to do all the work for him). Though he does use them, because in the Movie the Hokage not only sits behind a desk all day, the village has Naruto doing mundane activities 24/7 which puts an enormous amount of stress on his body. In fact the animators put emphasis on Naruto's bodily problem itself where he was sleeping in the office due to the lack of it entirely (they gave him really dark circles under his eyes). Because of that he destroyed his daughter's birthday cake. Though towards the end of the movie he made amends to his family and is now there for them, cutting back on Hokage work for the family when needed (or at least that's what is being implied).

Sasuke - Clearly Sasuke's mission has held him busy for an ?? amount of years since his child's birth. Though, the main problem that I detest the writing of the character itself is how the mission was portrayed. Sasuke has absolutely done nothing since his meeting with the Kage's, in terms of finding evidence to his hypothesis, and fighting enemies. He has been searching for these threats for years, only for them to appear in the Chunin Exams where he finds a scroll he can't decipher without Naruto's help (In the Movie when Naruto became Hokage, he made a secret unit for these kind of measures. Hokage Naruto FTW). Despite this, Sasuke has not contacted his family in that period of time at all. Though that does not include Naruto who he has kept in contact with periodically.

The thing is, Sasuke isn't a terrible father though. He just makes big mistakes that overshadows his character. It isn't his fault, but how Kishimoto wrote problems that affected him. I mean him not even knowing what his own daughter looked like ... he was literally about to kill her until she broke down and cried his name. What the ****?

But from what I have seen with Boruto, Sasuke is clearly a great guy, but like I said before mistakes overshadow their greatness here. Overall I think Naruto is a better father, but realistically I think they are both great dads. That doesn't change how I feel with Sasuke not contacting his family in over a decade.

I would care less if Kishimoto had Sasuke fighting enemies or finding evidence, but nope. All that shit happens years later when the children are grown up. Like really Kishimoto? He could of had Sasuke leave for his mission that same year and nothing would of changed. The most Sasuke did for the world was present his finding after his redemption journey in the Hokage flash back, ever since he departed for his secret mission it has all been for nada.

I just realized, but shouldn't Sasuke be able to use his portal anywhere, meaning
there's literally no need for him to go far distances from home to find
Kaguya/dimensional related stuff?

the thing that makes me laugh about ppl saying Naruto was a bad father is that they completely overlook the fact that there are 2 canon sources that portrays Naruto having spent more than plenty of time with his kids before he ever became Hokage. Logic pretty much says Naruto wasn't going to be around them a lot after getting that rank, considering it was more than likely why Mito was left to deal with her jin issues alone.
There is a panel of Sasuke helping Sarada walk when she was a baby, and you have no idea how long Sasuke stayed before leaving again at the end of Gaiden. We saw them share a meal, and make another family portrait.
that panel was Sarada trying to imagine what Sasuke looked like, and the portrait shown at the Gaiden's end is the only one that was ever made. Naruto's flashback in the Gaiden and Karin's statement about Sakura's pregnancy confirmed Sasuke didn't even see Sararda as a baby, let alone when she was a toddler.

Well for one, you're looking at quantity rather than quality. Naruto's the best dad ever yet Boruto who spent 13 years with him, despises Naruto.

This whole topic itself is dumb, considering, instead of spending time with his family, Sasuke was out there on a mission to save a world. Sasuke is the reason why Naruto even stayed in Konoha, Naruto wanted to go with him on his mission but Sasuke declined, and told him to stay in Konoha as the Hokage.

He only 'hates' Naruto because of his job. He loves his father. (What's cool is that in the Movie there are whole bunch of pictures of them together, including Himawari, solo shots, and even dating pictures of Naruto and his wife.)

Naruto himself doesn't help with the fact that the job overworks him and he fails when he is most needed for the people that have waited for him.

Clearly though, Naruto is a great father. Otherwise Boruto wouldn't be in so much pain for him. It's the exact opposite of Sarada who was in so much pain because she didn't know her father at all.

Remember what Sasuke said in Chapter 699, "We were lonely kids starving for love ... but finding nothing but hatred"

That principle still exists today, just in much lesser forms due to; War, fighting among villages, and etc., declining.

No, that panel was part of her flash back (which was in chronological order), it was her first memory of her parents. She only imagined him when she was about to meet him in chapter 4. You read the wrong translation about Karin's statement as well. The correct translations and the Japanese raws confirmed that Sakura was traveling with Sasuke and refused to leave his side while being pregnant, and she gave birth in Karin's hideout. And Sasuke recognized Sarada soon after he confused her for someone else, he was there in the first few years of her life.

The quantity still has more quality. I'm not saying he's the best father ever. Only he's a better father than Sasuke.

This is will be apparent when we see the full movie.

if you're going to tell me i read something that was mistranslated, then show scans or trans that shows the correct one, otherwise i don't see why i should just take your word for it.

I didn't post a scan because this should be common knowledge by now.

I can find the raw but we don't speak Japanese, all translators confirmed the part of Sasuke and Sakura traveling together, and Sakura refusing to leave his side while pregnant.
