Yeah the Manga wasn't very pleasant. I usually start with the Manga.
Cool, we await your review.
The manga from what I remember wasn't the greatest quality either, they didn't do a good job at cleaning which is understandable. I hope a team starts translating then I can also review the manga since there's huge difference between the anime/manga.
That was a satisfactory end. Kekkai Sensen ended on a high note. Guess it was worth waiting a few months.
Btw, anyone know how I can read all that's translated thus far online? The sites I go to only have like five chapters out.
Agreed it did end on a high note. There's not many chapters translated. I think I can get you the first four chapters of volume 10 if you want but what's the point since the previous volumes aren't translated. I remember seeing volume 1 raws and I have to check if I saved them on my computer or not. Anyways, the best choice is to buy the volumes or you could just wait till someone eventually translates them.

OT: This series was a fun ride, even though waiting for episode 12 was torture, I'm glad it's finally here. Studio bones did a spectacular job at depicting Hellsalem's lot and the OST's helped build it. The cast of the characters that this series offers is interesting with their own unique personalities. I love all of Libra's members and the rest of the main characters. Zapp, Leo, Klaus, Steven & Chain are my fav. from Libra. Even though most of the episodes felt episodic; they were still very enjoyable from Klaus enduring that ridiculous chess game to Leonardo's amazing friendship with Nej (that episode was a feels trip). Normally, I'm not a fan of anime only routes but I appreciate Bones for creating one that makes sense and one that ties in with the previous episodes/characters. I also give them praise for giving a nice backstory to White and Black. It was done very well IMO. The backstory did give me some vibes of FMA.
The finale was incredible. It improved on the interactions of the Libra members and build upon the world they're living in. White's message to Leo was great and it's good to see that she cares about Leo. I think she viewed him as a friend prior to that so it was good to see her show feelings towards him. I ship them and that message empowered Leo to take action and what shifted this episode to it's nice conclusion. Leo does remind me of Renton in some ways from Eureka 7, which is another work from Bones.

I guess it was somewhat nostalgic.
Leo's character development was handled well and it was epic when he stared at the king of despair fearlessly. I liked seeing his breakdown near the end. A great addition that the finale offered was that it developed the relationship between Leo and the other Libra members. This was needed since we've only seen Leo build his development with Zapp so it was great to see the other members get their screen time. One of the newer additions to Libra was Zed and him recognizing Leo as a courageous person further reinforced the development of his character.
Klaus vs the king of despair started off with an epic block of a meteorite by Klaus and had great action sequences. My only complaint is that it could of been a bit longer but it was still amazing. The characterization of Black near the end showed us the dept to his character and I loved it. The king of despair still lives on at the end.
Overall, the finale was great and the series was very enjoyable. The idea of a season 2 is very likely seeing how well the DVD/Blu-ray sold and usually Bones does give second seasons. The ending of the finale seems to hint at a season 2 as well. This anime had everything I look for in an anime; a great cast of characters, soundtrack, action, interesting plot and even comedy. Soundtrack was just so unique, I loved the OP/ED. The finale was 5/5 but the series as a whole is around a 8/10.
