i hope you aren't referring to Kakuzu as Mid tier. Kisame would need to be 100% to fight on par with Kakuzu. Why you think Kisame never crossed paths with him? Because he knew he'd get dat ass rekt.

I dunno what other place to put someone who even Naruto tricked Kisame comfortable eats everything Kakuzu throws him, the only reason they never met was because Kakuzu was running scared.
