Darui can't destroy Domu, because Water + Lightning + Wind + Fire combo attack nukes the f*ck out of Darui before he can attempt anything. Not to mention the hearts can go airborne (not that they need to) meaning only Kitsuchi could hit them, but that doesn't matter seeing as, they can burrow themselves in Earthen-Constructs via Jiongu. Gian ends Kitsuchi, and Domu tanks both their attacks once Darui is laid the f*ck out.

It was due to Jiongu. His whole body is Jiongu. He's capable of submerging himself (tendrils) into the ground, and he's able to properly relocate due to his hearts containing his chakra signature, which is why when he "died" his mask which possess his hearts (meaning they contain his chakra) instantly went to his aid.

His tendrils (Jiongu) are like sentient beings (metaphorically speaking); they move as if they're alive. Jiongu's penetrative force effortlessly penetrates the body think of it like this: Jiongu = Earthworms, but more aggressive. Earth worms can dig throughout the surface easily, so can Jiongu.
