Why is Boruto considered a prodigy? It seems like Himawari should be the one we follow, and have a movie over. All Boruto has is, his father's blonde hair (both kids look like Naruto), and happens to be male in a shonen.

I like the chapter...Naruto lives in a house now. I remember he was ina flat living in a small tiny room. He must be feeling spacious.

Naruto becoming Hokage is like the payoff of the entire series and this is how Naruto became Hokage?

He gets knocked out by a 5 year old and it isn't even him that gets inducted as Hokage. Seriously Kishi? What a huge let down.

I have decided now in my head Naruto ended at 700 and everything after is non Canon. Because we've officially entered GT levels of terrible. Everything after 700 has been bad imo I hate all of these new characters and have zero desire to see this movie.

Thanks for taking like the one thing I really wanted to see and turning it into a complete joke.

And everyone that says "Oh you don't understand it's supposed to be a joke" I do understand but this moment shouldn't have been a joke this moment should have been just as important and emotional as when Naruto came back to the village after he beat Pain.

Naruto becoming Hokage is culmination of everything he's been through in the series all the ups and downs. All the people who where important to Naruto who died and all the people that told Naruto your a looser and will never become Hokage. For all the people that believed he would become Hokage like Konohamaru and Tsunade.

This was there moment and Naruto's moment and Kishi took that away from us to play it off as a joke for something that could have happened at a different time.

I thought it was funny too, but I don't think his Hokage ceremony was the right time to do it. I think it would have been better placed the first time he comes home after his clone drops her birthday cake. Kishi could have had her do that to show her anger about it.

It seems as though no one was aware she had the byakugan or that she knew how to turn off chakra points. I guess Boruto made her angry enough to get her chakra flowing. I think he better watch his step in the future. Seems to me that she is the one to watch out for. She's ahead of Boruto already without any training.

The Monkey D line made me laugh. Of course it is also in true Naruto form to get knocked out cold by his little girl!

I didnt mind this short chapter at all. Thought it was cute

It's a surprise how many people miss that it was just meant to be a light one shot comedy. Missing an important day of your life due to kids is something comes as a package of parenthood for many.

Of course Naruto got hit - he wouldn't want to hurt her and didn't think she would hit that hard if at all. Besides, karma- he did punch Minato. Got it back via his kid.

I agree. But about Naruto punching Minato, he did have a reason of doing so. Naruto never wanted to be a jinchuriki or targeted by an organization filled with S rank shinobi's.

Although I think Kishi was making a statement by not showing a serious hokage ceremony.

Naruto already accomplished what was truly important to him by Chapter 699.

He was acknowledged by shinobi and leaders from every nation, he befriended Kurama (the other tailed beasts were a bonus), he gained the cooperation of everyone, and he has Sasuke's friendship again.

Even though Naruto wanted it his whole life, "Hokage" is just a title.
