Did rinne tensei kill obito or bijuu extraction??

Everything afterwards was possible thanks to BZ and Naruto's Seal.

Both did it actually, Rinne Tensei has been stated repeatedly to be a death sentence and so has Biju extraction.
The fact that Obito lived so long proves that he is not human, but instead a human sized Cockroach, that has a direct link to God/Kishimoto.

Right about everything except the "permanently averted his death" part. Obito would still eventually have died from the Bijuu extraction / Rinne Tensei. The Yang Seal merely prolonged Obito's life.

Juubi jins have the gedo's life force as a medium so they don't die but become immobile for awhile, believe kurama stated this when Obito was down after the fight. As for rinne tensei, the user doesn't die either unless they use the jutsu while having too little chakra. So they really die from chakra exhaustion, not the technique itself.

So yeah Obito had both exceptions, juubi jin and enough chakra :sdo:

the gedo keeps them alive from juuubi extraction, not sure if madara summoing it out of him changes that @.@ also he gave naruto the yin kyuubi so he was its jin i guess. that may have helped kill him too

Rinne Tensei has been confirmed to *always* cost the user's life. Obito stated that he would need to give up his life to revive Madara, even while both he and Madara were connected to the Juubi and could have borrowed its power (plus Obito wasn't significantly weakened at the time).

While Nagato made it look like the Rinne Tensei only killed him due to the large-scale resurrection, the more recent chapters from the War Arc always describe Rinne Tensei as a move that revives someone in exchange for the user's life.
