Even Madara is the most accomplished villain (No Scratch that, it's BZ), I don't find him appealing to be the FV. Madara always come off as another Sasuke copy especially this whole Uchiha Redundancy where they become emo and always deserted the villages which I don't like and it wouldn't be problem if Madara has his own originality as a character instead of becoming part of a repeating same cycle of hatred.

Ever Since the End of Part 1, the final valley with two statue, my very first impression of Madara is that he was evil just like what Sasuke had become. From there as soon as they go more indepth information about Madara, I knew he would've become a Final Villain which it had been foreshadow for YEARS and luckily it didn't happen because if it did it would be too cliche.

TOBI
Tobi would've been a perfect ideal as a Final Villain but Kishi had to screwed him up to make him Obito which in my opinion (He's not only the worst written Villain but he's the worst character that made the Uchiha lose its reputation)
I know everyone would agree about Tobi so I'm not gonna bother explaining.

KABUTO

Kabuto would also be another great example as a FV if he had never been victimized like everyone else and start flip floppn and being reduced to religious. You guys might be wondering why I'm comparing Madara to Kabuto.

Here's the thing. Kabuto always come off as the most mysterious character. He has no real backround and no identity. He's not part of the Chain of the Uchiha clan which I find him too Unique furthermore Kabuto holds alot of weight to the overall story. He has strong relation with Naruto& Sasuke throughout the whole series which Madara doesn't until the final arc.

Kabuto is someone we did not expect. First we thought Kabuto was a good guy but then it turn out he was a spy for Orochimaru. Next thing when we all thought Orochimaru was the main antagonist but ever since Sasuke killed him, Kabuto made a complete twist which surprised many audience .

Orochimaru Failure will help him developed Kabuto as a character to become the next successor which I find him the most interesting about it.

Kabuto is someone who will gain all the knowledge of Jutsu including the SO6P and he would've been the most Overpower villain in Naruto history . But it's too bad Kabuto had been thrown out to the window in the end.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alas none of these characters which I had hope for didn't come to my fruition which honestly Kabuto, Pain and Tobi were built up more hype to become FV then Madara. So Madara being the Mastermind Should be NO SURPRISING at all.
Oh well atleast BZ is more interesting villain then Madara in my opinion. When I first saw Black Zetsu, he has a dark deep voice and shady personality who was always recording and I thought to myself that based on his look he looks like a perfect guy to be the Mastermind but I didn't expect to happen.

BZ being the mastermind was the biggest surprising factor in this series and I thought Kishi did really good job by drawing Madara and Obito attention as the main villain and stuff we thought about zetsu orgin to make BZ look less suspicious.

Most people find it an asspull but I disagree it was all planned out since the end of Part 1 when he watched Naruto vs Sasuke but no body didn't see that coming.

Kaguya becoming the FV would'n't be the issues if she wasn't such undeveloped since Kishi had to quickly to finish the series cause of SJ.

Still atleast Ootstuski seems more appropriate to be the founder of this world then the Uchiha.

Honestly, I disagree. Madara being the FV would have been the ultimate sign off of this manga's theme, which is the young surpass the older generation. What better way to have Naruto and Sasuke become legends than to take down the evil founder of the Leaf? He had major build up for hundreds of chapters and was foreshadowed. Kaguya was just thrown in there.

no such thing as good or evil when this is the life of a ninja. decisions where you have to be a scumbag or doing missions and ruining others for the sake of it. Sasuke has his reasons and I don't blame him.

I agree with 90% of all of this. I just dissliked Madara by the time it was done & took joy in his demise. Black Zetzu was a suprise for me too & you made a good point on how it wasn't much (if any) of a troll move on Kishi's part. +Rep

Madara was never going to be the Final Villain. Naruto forgot he existed, in the middle of the war. That's not something you can do with a Final Villain, though i wish i could forget Kaguya, whoever she was.

You said Madara was never gonna be the FV only because this series already concluded but before Kaguya revelation, most peple believe Madara was the final villain and after "THEIR DISAPPOINTMENT" with Kaguya they made such statement how Madara "should've been" but honestly I take Kaguya over madara any day, she's more interesting concept character reference from the japaneese mythology and even she's underdeveloped, I like her power and her backstory seems more intriguing yet tragic if the anime decide to expand upon more indepth with Kaguya which I hope it happens.

I never said that the series concluded before Kaguya. I just pointed out that Naruto flat out forgot Madara existed.

I was hoping Hagoromo would be revealed as the final villain, rather than just a blatantly malevolent onlooker.

Well you specifically said "Madara was never gonna be the final villain" which implies the conclusion to which I stated.
